Unfortunately, I was in a position I had to basically purchase all new furniture for an entire house. I did this at Big Lots and spent thousands of dollars. A month after my purchase, the sofa and chair started coming apart at the seams, literally. I returned to the store with pictures and explained what was going on. The guy in furniture was happy to order a new set and said it would likely happen again, but that was it. Once this new set starts with the same problems, there was nothing more that could be done. I'm sorry, what?? Once my new set comes in and has the same issues like the guy said would like happen, I will go above this guy until they make it right. A little concerned...

My son and I sat together on 1 couch, went a row over and I saw 1 that I liked. So I bent over to grab the tag and check the price. Behind me I hear a grown man yell "No shoes on the couches". I turn to look and my 4 year old is sitting on the couch and his shoes are touching the cushion because he is 4 and his legs are short and with his back against the back his little shoe is bound to touch the top. The man huffed and walked away. So I approached him and said "Sir, he is 4, you should address his parent not yell at a child" his response "well you weren't watching him". Again I was looking at a price tag. He wasn't unattended with me across the store or anything, I literally bent over for maybe 20 seconds and he was a couple of feet behind me. He was sitting, not jumping from couch to couch. Apparently he is their Furniture Manager. I will never step foot in this location again and neither will any of our friends or family. As a previous manager for David's Bridal and Zales, I was thoroughly appalled by his behavior.

I am thankful for this little shop bc when I'm up here in the area, it always has the staple Asian ingredients I need. Is it as stocked as what we have in the city/bay or sac? Of course not. But it's great to have a place that I can count on to have enough staples for me to cook up some food. I'm Japanese, and do wish they offered a few Japanese items, but unless I'm in specific large cities- I'm used to just flowing towards Chinese or viet type recipes. Only Oto's in sac and a few Vegas Hawaii and little Tokyo/LA spots have true Japanese grocery stores. I don't just buy anything here, but for the few items that look not that amazing, I can list a lot of other local chain grocery stores around here that offer up worse quality on a more consistent basis. I give this place 5 stars. I like the service, not in your face, but give me answers when I need to price check etc and I think their prices are reasonable considering they're a much smaller store than say, Ranch 99 or Don Quiotes or SF market- this store in this area- their prices would obviously be slightly higher due to basic economic principles re volume and supply and demand for this area. To make my long review longer- I went there again tonight, leaving the place very grateful to have an Asian store in town and really happy they had fresh, hella delicious, very reasonably priced, chow fun and greens tonight. We cooked them up and the quality was perfection. Also- ample parking.
