Called to ask about soy beans, the person hung up on me. When I called back I get a Spanish voice recording.

Visited November 9th..see my receipt…read more After coming into Oroville to visit friends i thought I would stalk up on some food since there is no Walmart near me. I got some really good deals on veggies and meats. But beware of the EXPIRATION date on meats and salads ! They have a nice cake selection and decent deli. I got cat good for an elderly lady that I try to help since times are tough for her. I also got a pretzel on the way out ( from the inside Subway) which was tasty! I haven't been here at this store in a couple years..unfortunately I see homeless people that are stealing and then just walking out the door...sad! What happened to checking the receipt when you walk out? The cashier was friendly. I just like to get in and out of this place! It's a much needed place in Oroville because it has alot to offer..electronics...food...makeup..etc. at a discounted price. I bought stuff for chili at a fraction of the cost then my neighborhood grocery store!

She is mean looking n grumpy n RUDE.. customers can't approach her about anything, she ignores or glares at them.. See pic below of shoe dept , just few weeks ago.

That is what shops there, every location I've ever been to but the Oroville location is the worst. My fiance and I moved to Oroville and this is where we went probably the first 2 months, and we never left there without people staring at us, looking like they wanted to Rob us, grab me, harass me or harass both the bus. It was always a very sketchy place to go but then we found Smart & Final just down the road. When we started chatting with some of the employees at Smart & Final and told them we're so happy to find it, they asked where we had been shopping and when we said food max they basically cocked, and said that you two actually stepped foot in foodmaxx?? They were completely in shock we would go to such a grotesque store with such disgusting patrons. Definitely will never step foot in a FoodMaxx again, as long as that smart and final is in oroville. God about two bags more of groceries for the same type of stuff we got our food max for about 50 to $75 cheaper than FoodMaxx as well

YUCKY! This place is huge with a wide selection of items to choose from. I got the rotisserie chicken for 7.99. I also noticed they had good deals on dry food. Great display of deals! Good fresh selection of fruits and vegetables. They also have a bakery along with wine and beer. Hard alcohol also available. The only issue is there was a couple of homeless out front. This is a constant issue in Oroville. I visit here but I live in Nevada County. I went pretty early and it was not crowded. You do bag your groceries which is not a big deal. I will definitely be back because I can see how much money I can save! Special thanks to MARTIN. He was the cashier and he was very friendly and helpful with a great attitude !!
