Dollar tree is an amazing store with some amazing finds and they're all for $1. I know crazy right! Quick supplies and decorations, holiday items, cleaning supplies, this place is like a tiny cheap everything you might need store. It's has saved me so many times before when I needed some dish towels, or a plunger or basically anything. My only wish is that they stayed ope a tad bit later. But I go to Dollar Tree all the time, usually before going to superstores sometimes because if I can find it there first, there's no need going somewhere much further, to spend more money. I love their seasonal items! In the summertime they have a crap ton of luau decorations, for any backyard BBQs. In the winter they have a ton of wrapping paper, gift boxes, bows and ribbons. They also have a nice dishes like wine glasses, mugs, plates and bowls. If your getting ready to move out for the first time and don't have a lot of things, I definitely recommend Dollar Tree for most, if not all of your at home needs! read more

Horrible experience at this Dollar Tree! The cashier rudely demanded I put the basket back. When I politely suggested saying "May you," he got aggressive, told me not to "give a speech," and was distracted on his iPhone while he ringing up the customers. I was polite but will never return to this location. The transaction occurred on September 7th, Date and location of the encounter was 9/7/25 at 11:28. Dollar tree sent out a memo to managers stating stores are allowed to sell penny items to customers then employees must pull those items. This dollar tree denied me. I spent so much time doing THEIR JOB grabbing penny items to DONATE to Berkley schools, the local church pantry, and xmas baskets for children in need and they denied me. I told them about the email they said nope. I told them I'm donating these items they said nope. They made me cry. What a disgrace. Shame on them. I truly believe karma will get that manager for saying NO to helping people and children in need. read more

I would give a zero but that's not I totally agree with All complaints with this location. ALL of the cashiers should either be fired or trained on how to just talk to people! If not .... throw the whole damn location away. They would act like this in the Livonia or Farmington hills. Just because the items cost a dollar does not mean you're service should be penniless. Their very upset at their life choices at this location. Their rude. They're rude. Freaking rude! I just had a third run in with Charvilla. Now, it's 1of4 things: I either dated her son & broke his heart, her man left her for my friend, it's a light dark thing, or just evil period! But whatever it is, she doesn't like my face. I walk up she rolls her damn eyes! I place my stuff on the counter a certain way by separation and communicate with "gm and "is it ok if you bag like..." She snatched items from my hand or arm basket while im placing things down. I've asked her to stop she always has something smart to say. But she Never says 'hello' back. this Dollar Tree store is different than all the others because of the people who work here. Every single one of them smiles and it's friendly. There are no sour cashiers in this store. The Isles are swept and clean. The store is always neat. Things are easy to find. They always have the new items first. You can come here after placing your order on the internet and they will pull it from stock as soon as it arrives and give you a call. I've actually had them help me carry out orders of boxes when I had order shipped to the store and they will designate someone to help carry out your items so you can actually get in and out of the store fast if you are a commercial consumer. I have been in this store and actually spent one whole hour and didn't realize it because there was just so much in the store and I was busy trying to take it all in. Unlike most Dollar Tree stores there store has a lovely book section. You can find all sorts of books and they are good books with hard covers and even those expensive Zentangle coloring books. I have found laundry products here that I have not been able to find at other stores. When I come to this store I know I'm going to leave with at least one extra bag because they always have something new that I need. Oh and my favorite reason to go to the store every week is for bagged ice. I pay $1 for 7 pounds of bagged ice and it lasts me for a week. They always have ice your Round And if you are like me and you like ice in your water this is the place to get it. Apparently I have a thing for reviewing dollar stores- :) First of all, the Dollar Tree is a true "dollar store" chain. Nothing in the store costs more than a dollar. It is also one of the few remaining places in the metro Detroit area where you can score the Sunday paper for $1 rather than $1.50. As far as dollar stores go, the Dollar Tree has a pretty decent selection. This particular store is obviously older and a bit dingy- but everything is still a dollar and the selection is still pretty good. read more

Once upon a time, I used to work in a dollar store. I hesitate to call it that because the shop was more like a boutique carrying specialty items, cards, and a whole hell of a lot of candles. We catered more to wedding parties and party planners, elderly people popping in for crafting supplies, and just about the entire city looking for birthday and holiday cards. So, suffice to say, I have pretty high standards about what a dollar store can be and what a dollar store can achieve. Dollar Tree plain doesn't cut the mustard. It's a messy, disorganized place under blazing fluorescent lights that do their best to induce a headache by flickering at high cycles. My retinas just about burnt out in the first few minutes. The high frequency light does nothing to favour the unarranged, messy shelves covered in the explosion from your grandmother's knickknacks, your desk, and your little sister's closet deciding to burst out. There are some deals to be had, especially on paper goods. Index cards are super-cheap and you'll beat buying them at Staples or OfficeMax. Cards are also cheaper here than elsewhere so don't bother going to Hallmark. However, if you have any form of OCD or a need to organize, stay the hell away from this, the tenth circle of Hell just a cul-de-sac and two blocks away from Purgatory, because it will be your nemesis. For the rest of us, visit Dollar Castle a mile down the road in Ferndale. Much better organized, and for the motivated, there's a post office you can mail your cards at! read more

Though this isn't my first choice for a dollar tree, it's still a decent location with the typical selection of cards, made in china plasticware, balloons, toys, and holiday crap. This location is a bit more disorganized and dirty than other locations. But the staff are friendly and they have a good selection of stuff. I guess if you are paying only a dollar for your merchandise you should expect discounted service as well especially at this place..Usually I accept the trade off but now the discounted service is becoming overwhelming.. I sent a note last week to customer service regarding concerns I had with service I received at this location. The store manager Mr. Collens contacted me to follow-up regarding experiences and the entire conversation consisted of how I must be mistaken about what I observed and experienced on my visit to dollar tree on November 25th and my visit on November 26th. I explained to Mr. Collens that I did not voice my concerns to be accused of misrepresenting the facts. Mr. Collens went so far as to ask me where did I see him at when I came in on November the 25, I stated I do not know who he is so I could not speak to his location at the time of my visit when he responded that he was at the front of the store at the time I stated I had came in, I again responded that I am was not sure of his location only the fact that two of four lanes were serving the majority of customers waiting in long lines because the other two cashiers did not turn on their lights and called a customer at a time to their lane. Again Mr. Collens stated I must be mistaken about how busy the store was at that time because there were not long lines at the time I stated that I was in the location shopping. He also stated that on the night of November 25 the reason why none of the check out lane lanterns were not illuminated is that the cashier must have been working on the register with the broken lane lamp and that the entry door was not locked. I again repeated that the store could only be entered via the propped open exit door the 30 minutes before closing when I arrived. I found his tone to be very disrespectful and extremely dismissive of my concerns. I am very disappointed in how my concerns were responded to by this store manager whose apology consisted of telling me he apologizes but I must be mistaken of what I experienced on each visit to this store location. In closing you can take your dollars to this store but dont expect good service with that dollar deal! read more

Terrible service. There's a manager named shawntae very unprofessional. Lied about being manager when I needed assistance. I over heard her and other Co workers laughing about it. She only allows one person on register and she expects them to assist the baloons and shopping carts. Everytime I come in she's walking around on her phone doing nothing. read more
