The cashiers don't wear masks. Terrible covid safety in this store! Cute decor for holidays but not worth getting covid.

Will never shop here again aside from wall art. Everything I have purchased in "closed" boxes…read moreappearing to be new have either been broken upon opening or missing parts or used. This takes the cake of all the failed purchases I have made at this store. The box appears to be new. Taped closure like when you were to buy it new. Then I open it and this air mattress is foul with blood spatter all over it. Absolutely FOUL to sell merchandise with blood on it. I don't care if it was in a 14 bin, selling items like this is beyond disgusting. Be warned, just bc the box appears to be new, 100 percent does not mean you won't open it and find a crime scene on on it. Spend the money and buy from a reputable store who WOULD never put product on the floor regardless of the fact it's a liquidation center like this.

I'm giving this place 5-stars because I personally scored some really great deals today. It's the…read moreday after Christmas (Dec 26) so the store seems a little scarce on items but I still managed to find the following in my size with tags on all: 1. MaxMara Leggings that are currently listed on Neiman Marcus and Nordstrom websites for $260 2. Free People shirt that I've been trying to find in Black forrreveerrr (retail $68) 3. All Saints Shirt (retail $78) 4. Nordstrom brand black top (retail $89) I bought 7 pieces of clothes today for a total of $78 which made the 35 minute drive from Plano well worth it. If you go this store expecting to find something specific, like the products that are advertised in the TikTok or Instagram videos, you're going to be super disappointed. However, if you come with time on your hands and are able to sort through the disorganization, I think you'll walk away pretty happy. The store seems to be a liquidation outlet for Nordstrom, Target, and IKEA. Lots of designer brand clothes but many of them do have slight imperfections and flaws. Not all of them though. None of the items I bought had anything wrong with them but I also spent 2 hours in the store scouring through everything. They have a ton of Target furniture but nothing that stood out to me as worth getting. Also, lots of official Apple accessories like laptop and phone chargers, covers, keychains, etc. Come dressed in comfortable clothes, leave the kids at home, and make sure to come on a weekday.

My review is totally based on being a seller over being a shopper. The staff is nice - most ladies…read moreare friendly or at least pleasant. The store seems clean, and there are racks and racks of clothes, shoes and some accessories. The store is in a residential area in a nice little shopping strip. The reason I tried out Clothes Mentor is because their selling point was how they payout before having actually sold your items. You have a choice between cash or store credit. Now granted you probably get less payout than usual, but it's good if you won't necessarily be in the area for long or want money sooner than later. This drew me in knowing that with most consignments they must sell your items first. The first time I went I didn't have that many items (maybe 6-8 pieces) but I'm glad I called first because even though it was just a few articles of clothing, they said they wouldn't be able to get through it & provide feedback that same day - it would likely be the next. They text you when done and request that you return to the store within 3 days. When I came back with multiple bags (they only accept up to 3 and your clothes must NOT be on hangers) it was much earlier in the day, and they accepted them to sort but again said it wouldn't be same day. This time I was not at all close to closing time. However, it looked like there were a lot of bags of clothes in the front that people had brought in. Maybe January is a popular time for closet purging. I was able to cash out from the few items I brought in before - one of which was a really nice, barely worn Gianni Bini aztec cardigan. Including that sweater, they really only kept maybe 4 pieces and I got a few dollars, but probably not worth my gas and time away from work rushing over there and back home to Irving. They have flyers and voice prompt if you call in, that state what all they're receiving and what they won't take (I.e. Size 0-6 skirts or pants). The second time (3rd trip) I returned to pick up my 2nd round of items because they couldn't sort in the same day; they gave me back ALL 3 BAGS FULL to take home! I know these are mostly pre-owned items, perhaps not the trendiest styles, but still classic quality pieces; based on some of the brand names, condition & style I was surprised that they couldn't use anything AT ALL. They said the reason was because they were overstocked and just had too much already. What I don't understand is why they let me leave everything there in the first place if that was the case. I'm glad I didn't take the more high end stuff I have by Armani. I'm not sure I recommend using this consignment shop to sell unless you live really close. There's another location in South Arlington that I haven't tried; not sure if they're also overstocked or share the same level of communication as North Richland Hills. It would be cool to know in the text notification if any items qualified for sales - Just an idea. I personally won't be rushing back. I can likely make more $$ on Poshmark. If you have the spare time for Clothes Mentor's process cool, but otherwise you might as well donate to a women's shelter / thrift shop like Genesis.
