This is a newer store, as they moved down the street a few years back, from their location in front of Albertsons. We were running low on bottles of water and didn't want to get a whole case to get us through the next couple days, so we stopped at DT for a couple six packs. This store was a mess! Not just a little bit, but a major mess. Items all over the floor. Spilled Gatorade on the drink aisle. I hope they get the staffing help they need. Nice girl at the checkout and the line moved quickly. read more

A very large dollar tree with a huge selection, but what a mess all the time. They are rarely out of items, but you will have to navigate a store full of clutter to find what you are looking for. The staff are friendly and I always buy more then I was shopping for. read more

Manager Chain-smoked in the parking lot in front of the store, Assistant Manager is always chatting on phone, force employees to lie about restroom availability, the right hand half of the store is a complete mess! Broken glass bottles in front of store. Lot's of fully opened beverages and food items litter every aisle, there are fruit flies in the store! Visited again and heard mice near the grocery section that smelt like rotten cheese, truly a scuzzy operation. This Store is run the exact opposite from Their Los Osos Location, Have no idea how Two store's so close to each other could differ so much! read more

Well going by the store, there was a lady out front with a dollar tree insignia on with the name MIA and when I went by her I said you know the cigarette smokes carrying all the way to the front door and it's really not real helpful that you as the manager are not making sure that your store is looked at in a better light and I said well I'm just send something on Yelp and she said go ahead Anyway so if you're going to deal with dollar tree I used to smoke too but you don't need to smoke anywhere near the front door because your customers get insulted and then we have to go inside and deal with you at the counter or you're passing around your secondhand smoke anyway, just a thought maybe you could go somewhere else I have a place in Los Osos that's really nice And I'm not trying to say that it's better than the one here Morro Bay but at least the manager who wouldn't say a nice thing at all saying oh so I'm sorry I'll I'll move somewhere else and I offered her some suggestions. She said I can't go there. I can't go out the back door I thought well you can walk around the end of the building or you could walk out into the parking lot, but she got angry with me when I told her that if she didn't move and stop smoking in front of her store, I would give her a review on yelp, so here it is read more

Since I don't live here in Morro bay ; I usually don't have much time for shopping but I almost always stop here to pick up a few things from their store . Never have any problems and all the employees are all very competent with stocking shelves and ringing up sales at the registers . Today I noticed they had a large number of workers busy upgrading the store with new merchandise . Definitely will be returning ! What is ironic is after I put my purchases into my car I decided to visit the adjacent family dollar place . I was after a screen protector so could replace the worn one on my cell . As I walked around this place I couldn't locate what I needed but I still came close to making a few purchases . After several minutes I realized as I was toward the back of family dollar I was in need of using their facilities but realized the restrooms both had big "out of order" signs on them . Not a problem ! I just have to wait later I thought to myself . Right at that moment I had a woman blasting me with a ridiculously loud and rude tone of voice demanding to know how she can help me ! I was tempted to tell her to get help for herself ! The irony I mentioned earlier is that Dollar Tree bought the family dollar brand stores . It goes without saying that some of the crew need to be spoken to and evaluated as to whether they are fit to continue working . I'll just keep bringing my money to the Dollar Tree instead and avoid all the senseless drama next door $$$$$$$!!!!!!!!! read more

Very disappointed at the price increase at the "Dollar" Tree. I know they haven't had one in 35 years, but the size of their products has been decreasing to make up for that. I also know that $1.25 is still a good value for many of their items. However, I often purchased multiples because $1 was such a great value. They made tons of money off my "just in case" purchases. Psychologically people spend more when they perceive great value. Now, with their price increase, I will be shopping at the 99cents store and next door at Family Dollar because they still have items for a dollar. If I do shop at the Dollar Tree I won't be purchasing as many items so they will definitely see a decrease in sales now that they have raised their prices. What they should have done was offer quantity discount pricing. For example, $1.25 each if you purchase one, but $1.00 each if you purchase 5 of the same item!! Then the psychology would have kicked in and they would have made more money. Too bad, I really had been a big fan of the Dollar Tree. Now I will make it a point to stop by the 99cents store in SLO or Atascadero when I am there and to stop by the Family Dollar store next door first to see if they have what I need for $1. Sorry, but I represent a lot of people with the same notions of shopping. read more
