why bother shopping at 'dollar' tree, when you can purchase most items for less at Walmart, for instance the 5.8 sample sized dawn dish liquid is $1.50 at dollar tree but $.97 at Walmart. Dollar tree has just become more expensive than other stores and they wonder why they are struggling to remain open, quite simply people like a bargain and will shop elsewhere for the lower priced items. read more

Cashier female throws a box of candy bars when I stepped up to check out. I guess she didn't want to help me.

I normally don't leave yelp reviews but the cashier with purple hair who has worked at this location for "a year now" according to her, is one of the rudest customer service workers I have ever encountered. I have multiple times witnessed her yelling at customers for simply doing her job, or them asking her to get balloons or cash back or anything inconvenient for her. Today was the last straw when she yelled at an older gentleman who "touched something" on the counter she "asked him not to". She 100% is rude to someone every time I go there or tries to start arguments for no reason everytime, and I work across the street and go here often. I am shocked she hasn't been fired with how she talks to people. She is out of pocket and shouldn't be working with the public, period. read more

I have been shopping at this location for several years now and come all the way from Everett, Wa. as they have a better selection of items than the stores in Everett. The last few times I was in the store it was an absolute disaster area. Boxes crowding the isles, the book section is always a mess as well as the craft isle. This used to be such a nice, well kept store and the employees were very kind and helpful. Just this morning I tried to go shopping there only to find that the store was still closed. Two employees who work there were sitting out in their cars waiting for the manager to show up and was the only one with keys to the store. One of them had been waiting since 7:30 for her boss to show up. The store was supposed to have opened at 8 am and NO MANAGER! What message does this send to the employees who work there and the customers that shop there when they are on a tight budget. Obviously, this manager does not take pride in her store or in the community in which she works. After the experience I had this morning, I will probably take my business elsewhere. read more

There was a older gentleman a few people in-front of us and the lady at the register was extremely rude to him when she was the one that rang up the wrong item, and the manager was no help either when I saw him say something to her. The lady at the register continued to be rude to each person in her line until her line was gone, she snapped at the lady in front of us as well and we didn't say anything because we watched someone try to report her to her manager and she did nothing and laughed it off. I don't remember the girls name at the register but she has purple/pink in her hair and she has got to be one of the worst customer service employee I have seen in a while.I work around here and have heard other people talk about how unprofessional and rude she is and witnessed that for myself today. If you are that unhappy at your job, get a new one. You don't have to make everyone else as miserable as you are. read more

We come in here fairly frequently and can't complain about the prices or the selection and we almost never interact with the employees beyond checking out. The place is in near-constant disarray and we have never once not waited in a very slow moving line. There never seems to be enough staff members to keep things flowing smoothly or keep the place looking halfway clean. The only thing that makes the lines worse are the customers who feel the need to loudly complain whilst in said lines. We get it. We all know the line is slow. We don't care that you come in every other day for ice cream and soda and the service is always like this. If it bothers you so much, go somewhere else. read more

I have always liked this dollar tree. Friendly staff and good selection. However today was my last day shopping there. Me and my four year old son were shopping for Easter. Cart filled and here comes Trevor the manager, taking things my son is playing with on the floor and putting them on the shelf...right beside us, like my son isn't allowed to touch plastic pots. Yesterday I was shopping for Halloween Decorations and my child was having a hard day. She did not want to wear her shoes and was saying down and I was saying no. In the middle of our negotiation, the cashier got on the loud speaker and said "If you can not keep your child quiet, than you need to leave." I am publically humiliated and will never return. Dirty, messy store with rude and very unskilled help. I was making a return and waited in a long line only to have Virginia shove my bag back at me saying "you need to bring up the same number of items as in your bag and they all needs to be taxable items. " When I returned to the register after another long wait she took out most of the items that I was returning and said that I was trying to get more items than I was returning. I told her to take all of my items out of the bag before she made an assumption. When she finally figured out what she was doing she bagged up my new items. When I go home I discovered that she left one of my items out of the bag. After phoning the store about what happened I was told that my item would be at the register with my name on it. I returned to the store the next day and the manager was clueless on where the item was. I found the item stashed on top of the balloon making area with my name on it. When I showed the item to the manager he said that he did not know that was the item that I was waiting for. What was he look for then? The location at 116th is much cleaner and friendlier. I will drive the extra 5 miles from now on to shop there. read more

Sunday March 1st I stopped at the Dollar Tree to purchase cups for work on Tuesday. I arrived at 8:30 not realizing they didn't open until 9, so decided to just wait. Within moments a man ( I believe the Manager) and a woman (she's the really nice cashier there) arrived. They went inside and came back out about 5 to 10 minutes later the Manager carrying a cigarette so I guessed it was "break" time. They returned about 10 minutes later, only to come back out again to then go to Starbucks. When the store finally opened I was appalled at the state of it. Garbage everywhere, filthy floors, the shelves were empty, those that had items on them were in utter disarray. I wondered how they'd had time for 2 breaks before opening yet no time to get the shop in order. I made my purchase and left. The topper was today however! I popped back in to exchange the cups as they were too big. The sales clerk asked if I had a receipt. I said no I just need to exchange them for smaller cups. She said no exchanges without a receipt. I said how wrong that policy was because they actually give you the option of not having a receipt printed! She just smiled and started ringing out the next customer. From now on I will definitely be driving the few extra minutes to go to the Dollar Store near Winco, at least it's a clean store and I will have a receipt printed. read more

This Dollar tree is the messiest one I have been to. Fairly disorganized and literally, stuff all over the floor. It never used to be this way. Used to be a nice Dollar Tree. One star because the cashier Betty was friendly and patient. The store deserves no stars! Dirty, shelves look like they haven't been faced in years. Boxes of freight everywhere. I don't blame the employees I blame Dollar Tree. Is they paid decently they could get a higher caliber of employees. Personally, I refuse to give this store even a 1 star. I have been in many Dollar Stores and this is the worst. Theres crap all over the floors and not on the shelves. The employees are far from being helpful. And the lines are so long that you wait forever to just check out. I understand that not every Dollar Store will have the items that you always want. But when you can't even find a single item on your long list when you know that they should have it, then that is pathetic. The store is dirty and never clean. I have given them at least 3 tries in the last 3-4 months, in hopes that it would improve, and it hasn't. I refuse to go to this place again. I will drive out of my way to use a different Dollar Store or just buy what I need somewhere else. read more
