They have a good gardening section for those who like to grow their own indoor and outdoor plants. There is also a nice food department stocked with pastas, sauces, candies and snacks. I do enjoy browsing through their beauty aisle where you can find some good discounted cosmetics. Definitely not top shelf brands but it's always great to try something new and get a break on prices at the same time. Last time I was there I found some good cleaning supplies and trash bags for the house since I was running low on those types of items. You get what you paid for and found out that this item was a very thin plastic cover with elastic on the bottom and fused pieces . It fit nicely but it split at the seam as you can visually see on the photo where I had to repair it with duck tape . I should return it and shop elsewhere. But for now I need to cover my grill! Also, the candy corner of the store reminds me of penny candy stores when I was a kid and is a nice place for children to visit. The employee working at the costumer service register was very rude to me. I told the CS person that I was returning it because the awning was defective and had broken while I attempted to assemble it. The customer service person said it looked used? I told her it came that way. She argued with me and wasted my time arguing for 10 min while continuing to tell me that the awning looked used. I had the receipt and she resisted giving me my refund. Finally the manager of the store came over and suggested I get another awning. I said no, I would prefer a refund. The manager finally gave me my refund. Like the other Yelp reviewer said of Ocean State "Don't recommend giving money to this company. This place sucks. Management sucks. Employees suck. And the cheap damn products suck?" I agree with that reviewer Gabe W.
