Sad to see so many Barnes closed up but glad to see this one surviving for now. They really have a vast selection for all types of readers. I kind of bounce around the Percy Jackson books, manga, fiction and some life skills / strategy type books. I also got a signed copy of the outsiders signed by the author from here for cheap! They also still do events at the store so peep the sign and stop in to support if you're free! The areas are well organized, I've seen some messes in other locations. They also have a good spread of highlight books with hand written descriptions! The employees when we went didn't talk much to us which is fine i rather not most times haha. Clean shop, nice coffee area to do some work and read, toy section, game and board game sections, builder sets, pop funkos, merch you name it.

It has been a while since I have taken a stroll at the Derby St Shops. We decided to check out Barnes & Noble & we were not disappointed! As a kid, I used to come here every weekend to pick out some new books to read (probably spent a few hours reading) & sometimes some new toys, so it was definitely super nostalgic for me walking around in here today. They've got a little bit of everything, for everyone! Anime, fiction/nonfiction, kids books, arts & crafts sets & books, cooking books, games, plushies... literally everything. Will for sure be coming back soon. Very happy we came in to check Barnes & Noble out today ;)

Overpriced and cold espresso.

Starbucks in Barnes & Noble... while convenient, I had a double espresso (note there is no X in espresso) for three dollars. I'm not thrifty, nor am I rich as a Rockefeller, well, maybe like Clark Rockefeller, but I ended up with a cup of coffee that was 3/8 inch full.l and quite luke-warm. Go figure. Caveat emptor. Very nice staff. Kind of clean sugar, milk, napkin area.

I really like the Barnes and noble on derby street. The cafe is great and they always make me coffee the way I like it.

They sell all Starbucks things but don't accept Starbucks gift cards? Super disappointed.

One of my favorite B&N in Massachusetts! The cafe staff is always lovely. And the cafe itself is fairly quiet.

When my friend said she wanted to go to this book store on our short trip to Boston, I was lowkey…read moreside eyeing her. But man oh man, I'm glad she made this one of our stops!! Walking up, there's an outdoor section with books for sale that is aesthetically pleasing. We didn't go through the books but I saw sales as low as $5 a book. This book store is one of a kind! There's 3 floors. The stairs to the second floor are beautiful. The top floor has an impressive collection of rare books. We spent 30 minutes just looking through all the titles and oooing and ahhhing at how awesome it would be to own them! This is a book lovers dream and honestly just stop by to see how cool it is!

There were so many books, everywhere in the store and outside the store. I didn't find anything outside. I don't think it was anything written in the last 20 years outside. All old or hella old books. Inside, there were old books also but a few newer books. There were so many sections to browse. I also was able to find and purchase a book that was on my TBR. The people at the register were nice and made sure they were ringing everyone up and moving the line along. The prices for the books were ok. I bought a book because I didn't have it and I was here but I'm sure I could have gotten it cheaper at the Goodwill but it's about the experience. I definitely enjoyed the bookshop and the experience.
