TJ Maxx - Men's and women's fashion at TJ Maxx

TJ Maxx

How excited am I to have a TJ Maxx in Manor and not have to drive into Austin?…read moreColor me tickled pink, y'all. Because let's be real--in this economy, we are all trying to save our coins and still live a soft, slightly bougie life. And TJ Maxx said, "Don't worry, I got you," and wrapped it up in a nice little discounted bow. This location? It understood the assignment. Clothing, hair care, skincare, jewelry, purses, home décor, journals, stationery, organizing bins (because we're all trying to get our lives together), charcuterie boards (yes please), snacks... I mean, what don't they have? It's one of those places where you walk in for one thing and suddenly you're like, "Well... this wasn't on the list, but it feels necessary." And somehow? You still don't feel like you've done damage to your bank account. That's the magic. I've gotten real disciplined about going in with a budget--and trying to make a list--but even when I stray a little (and I will), the pricing makes it feel like a win instead of a regret. Having this right here in Manor is such a game changer. Easy, convenient, and just the right amount of "treat yourself" without the guilt. YAY, indeed.

TJ Maxx reminds me of what you get when you combine a Ross dress for less and a Target together. The center of the retail space is given over to women's clothing with all the hard goods and men's clothing off to the perimeter. Jewelry, make up and hair care. products are on one side of the store next to the dressing rooms. There's pretty much everything imaginable that you can find here. Everything from toys, games, candy, suitcases, housewares, home decor, gift cards, baby clothes and fragrances. The prices here are also quite reasonable. The photos included will give you a better idea of what else they have to offer.

Living out in Far East Austin (969/973 area), you learn real quick--it's often way easier to head…read moretoward Manor than deal with getting in and out of Austin proper. So when I heard H-E-B was opening in Manor? ELATED doesn't even begin to cover it. And let me tell you--it did not disappoint. This store is HUGE. Like, take your time and wander a bit because there are so many options kind of huge. The variety alone had me stopping mid-aisle more than once... and the frozen pizza section?? WOWZERS. I didn't even know there were that many choices in existence. But what really makes it feel like my HEB is the people. Everyone is so friendly in that genuine, "hey neighbor, how you doing?" kind of way. And yes, HEB is known for that--but it just hits a little different out here. Is there a BBQ spot inside like some of the bigger locations? No. Do I care? Also no. I would much rather make the easy drive to Manor, shop in peace, and actually enjoy my grocery run than deal with the chaos of heading deeper into Austin. This store has officially earned its place in my regular rotation, and I'm genuinely excited about something as simple as grocery shopping again--which says a lot. Manor, you did GOOD with this one.

So buckle up this review will be biased. I found myself in Manor this weekend and decided to stop by their shiny new HEB to see what they had to offer. I was hoping to find the HEB Brand Store mystery keychains. No luck there, but I did see last years sold out HEB Shopping cart ornament. (photo evidence attached) The store sits right off Highway 290 in a new and growing shopping center. There is plenty of parking and several electric carts available for anyone who needs mobility support. Since the store is new, everything is clean, organized, and fully stocked. The employees were warm and quick to help, especially if you are wandering around lost like me. My only real critique is that the HEB app is not quite up to date yet. That might be because the store is new or because some of the frequently purchased items have been moved to end caps instead of the aisles for the holidays. All in all, it was a pleasant shopping trip. I live too far away to make this my regular store, but it was a treat to stop by while I was in the area.
