The store was clean and organized. Cons-While the store does have bins, there are a ton of exceptions. I came on $1 day and saw items priced up to $180. I'd estimate 30% of the items were actually $1. The rest were more. The flyer says bin store and more, so it is accurate. I would say still give the store a try. Although the bins stores that I frequent have one price for everything, depending on the day, you may find a good price.

On my first visit, I came in to buy candy and ending up browsing. And during that initial visit, I appreciated how many items this store has to offer and how well it's laid out. The patrons and workers take care of this store. I don't know how long it's been open, but it doesn't have the "tired" feel of most discount stores. And it's neat. Things aren't all piled up on each other in any random area; each section is separate and where you would expect to find something it's usually there. I didn't initially think of Deals as a "dollar store" but there are a lot of things that are $1. If I had kids, I come here every other month or so, give them $10 and let them go crazy. And if I were just starting out and not sure of what I needed, I would come here to buy dinnerware, glasses, etc. The prices are comparable to (and in some cases lower than) Wal-Mart and Target, so why deal with the parking and long check out lines of a bigger store? Today, I'm here to talk about the mini food court, specifically... the pizza! Whenever I go to Costco--which isn't super often, but definitely more than in previous years--I always grab two slices of pepperoni pizza. The food is always consistent, reasonably priced, and honestly, two slices can last me for a couple of days. The slices are huge, and there's no way I can eat both in one sitting. I usually cut them in half and warm up half a slice at a time. I especially like the Cumberland location--the staff is friendly, the service is quick, and even though it's busy, I've figured out how to dodge the rush. I highly recommend the pizza. I'm sure many of you have already tried it, but if you're new to Costco or on the fence, go ahead and buy it--you won't be disappointed!

We popped into this location on a Friday evening in search of formal wear (slacks, jacket) and arrived around 6:45 PM. We did not think anything of our arrival time, as the mall stays open until 9:00 PM...however five minutes into our shop and we hear that they are closing at 7:00 PM. We found it really bizarre and asked a staff member if it was a special closing for the night or their hours and all we got was "not special" and they walked off. Was the weirdest interaction...and was honestly rude. Given that we had things in our hands to try on and they were clearly in a rush to close, we simply shelved the clothes and hopped across the parking lot to Belk. I gave 2 stars for the brand and the fact that before leaving, we did find a few well priced items that would have been nice to purchase, but...oh well. I am usually a massive fan of JCPenney for my formal wear as they always have a good selection at decent prices, but next time I am in need, I will probably hit a few other spots first and have this particular location as a last resort in my search.

A few months ago I went to the Penny's by Northpoint mall with a friend and her daughter who was going to a school dance. She needed a dress that was age appropriate. We were able to find one for $40. So now she's super into this store which is great because they have great clothes for teens that aren't revealing or low cuts. They're nice quality too. They hold up in the wash well and don't shrink or fade after a couple of washes. Plus they're easy on the budget. On a side note, the employees always seem to be happy and helpful. That speaks volumes! Happy employees mean they have a great manager. My experience here has always been a good one. If I need something and its not on the shelf, I usually ask the manager or find a employees and ask if they will look in the back to see if they have it. Some times they have it. Sometimes they dont, but they go that extra mile and at least go and look for me. It makes me feel like customers come first. I like that!! Employees and manager have always been very helpful and really nice. I have been to every Family Dollar in my area and have run across some rude cashiers and that's it for me. I will take my $1 where I'm appreciated. I won't give them a second chance. And I also have noticed employees telling panhandlers to move along. Get away from their store. To me, that's a deal breaker because panhandlers can get aggressive in this area. I feel comfortable knowing that when I shop here, I won't have to deal with them. I have quit going to any other Family Dollar except this one. This really is my go-to store. Please note... The Yelp review I did last year, was for the Family Dollar up on Covington Hwy near Memorial Drive. That location is a horrible store.
