Dollar Tree in itself is a great store as there is nothing more than a dollar unlike the 99 cent always stores . But location matters as DO NOT go to this store as it is the rudest meanest staffed store in Southern California it is as if they hired the worse of Managers and say ok now hire every other bad person , I have been a trainer in customer service all my life , I have taken my restaurants from the worse to Number 1 and it was all about the customer service as we can have problems with food and wait times that is a given but customer service is what makes or breaks you. And honestly if I wanted to show the worse of the worse to a group of people I would bring them to this store ,and truly what is sad I would take them to the one on ave K across from Albertson that is so nice and a little hidden where the nicest of customer service and store pride exists . Please do nt go to the AVE i and Challenger store as you are allowing them to get away with the bad service and the mistreatment to their consumers it is as if we allow them to do this as we know no better . I have complained on many occasions I do the surveys I reached out to cooperate as in life we do have a voice and I will use it see I am gay ,white, disabled and a senior and I will NOT be treated like a victim . This location always has panhandlers, people loitering around, or shady people selling stuff from the trunk of their cars. A very unwelcoming atmosphere for customers to shop. I only shop there during the daytime and only w/ my husband if @ night. However, this is NOT the only reason for my complaint. They truly DO NOT have good customer service! I was shopping today, having waited in a long line w/ only 1 cashier open. When an employee decides to open another register, she announcing "next person in line to register #....", obviously the crowd from the 1 line will all run frantically to the 2nd register. While other stores will walk the actual customer next in line to their register to avoid customer dissatisfaction. When I mentioned this policy to the employee, Sara, she ignored me like a customers concern is NOT her concern. "Take it to someone who cares." = 0 Stars for Customer Service! read more

I wish I could give no stars. There are panhandlers and just loitering idiots constantly in front of the store, my boyfriend actually got his bike stolen right in front of it and no one cared, they actually got mad at him after he spent money in there! I'm wondering if the Health department knows about all the 15/20 people loitering in front? Aren't we all suppose to be home due to the Coronavirus? I was a customer calling on the phone with a concern when I was planned on hold for 45 min. When asked to speak to a manager because I wanted the corporate office number. I decided by being planned on hold so long to drive to their location while I was still on hold... I walked into the store and asked to speak to a manager. One manager came out and said she was dealing with a customer. Another manager heard my concerns and came out and said she'll handle it. When I asked her for the corporate number site said she didn't know it for me to Google it. I said I'm in the store asking you(A MANAGER) for the number why do I have to Google it. I then told the manager that their employees and herself want running their business in a PROFESSIONAL manner. I'm a customer asking for your corporate number and I get attitude. The right thing to say by the employee was Our managers are dealing with another customer concern would you be so kind to call back in 30 min or would you like to Leave your name and number for one of our managers to contract you... I think this dollar tree had POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE & their manager was just rude. As a customer you should always ask what's the problem some it but instead I got ATTITUDE AND RUDENESS. I seriously love this Dollar Tree! It is so clean!! I go here because cards are 2/$1. How can you beat that?? Now I can afford to send cards all the time to my family and loved ones! They have a great selection of flowers and stationary stuff. What a great selection and the employees are always really nice! So clean, too! Love this place! read more

I love dollar tree they always have what I need.only thing I don't like is the fact that they are always out of toilet tissue lol.nobody wants to spend 20$ on tissue youre sending to septic tanks lol when you can get 4 rolls for a dollar.they always have nice dishes too as well and other household items you use on a daily basis.i would say you go here and get your dollars worth:) read more

I went to this dollar tree today, a Friday, the day after Christmas, around 430pm and was very surprised to see them with only one teller open, at least 8 people in line, and when one person came out of the office, (she looked like she may have been the manager or asst manager) I asked her if she was opening another line, she replied no, began to walk outside, hollered out the name of someone else who was also in the same office she just came from, and he came out and opened another register with an attitude while she went outside. Corporate needs to send someone in there to clean house and start all over again with individuals who actually work . And because of the look the guy gave me when he came out, I am almost sure they have a glass which they can see us on the outside but we the customer can't see inside. read more

The employees at this particular Dollar Tree are horrible. They all seem to be unaware of what customer service is. Whenever my wife and I go in there we only see just one register open no matter how many people are waiting in the line. The other employees see this and act as if they don't know what to do or just don't care. Instead of opening another register they will either pretend to restock products or hide in a room, which I guess is their break , that has a couple of 2 way mirrors where they probably just sit and watch the one employee at the register. I saw a young female employee yesterday just texting and looking at her phone right next to the line. I was a bit surprised that she didn't mind us looking at her just chilling on the job.....but I guess she could've just got done with her shift.....at least I hope so, otherwise she just made herself look really really bad. Now besides the employees who don't like working the outside atmosphere is kind of shady too. You always see someone by the door begging for change or trying to sell bootleg movies/music. Also there are sometimes sketchy looking characters by a bus stop near the Dollar Tree. I would advise against going there at night if at all. We only go there because its close. I kind of hope they fire most of the employees and hire some people who actually know about customer service and would appreciate their jobs. It sounds harsh but I doubt the current employees understand that when you see a problem with the customers getting frustrated everyday that maybe they should try a different approach. read more
