The value at Ollie's is great. We didn't have a ton of time to shop but we nabbed an A&M garden flag for $6.99 and a big bag of Brownie Brittle for $5.99. (Now I will note that we have been "burned" by food at Ollie's in the past -not this particular location- when we bought some mint patties which were infested with bugs. So yes we are "nervous" buying food here but I think that if they are well packaged, that shouldn't normally be a problem.) Now for the service. Wow. Aimee was our cashier and was FABULOUS. She was so friendly and helpful. She got us signed up for Ollie's rewards and explained everything so thoroughly. I honestly don't know why we didn't sign up before. They have a wonderful selection. And they are the only place I know that correctly calls "sausage kolaches" as their real name--Klobásník--or Klobásníky (plural.) but don't expect those to still be there. On a weekday, they might still have these Czech treats until 3 pm, but on the weekends, they go fast! Always friendly staff and i just love looking through their home decor. They have the cutest little tchotchkes that are locally crafted and so wonderful for home, garden, or lawn. I have bought many a christmas and birthday gift on the way. Great metal art as well! The bathrooms are always clean and smell fine. I highly recommend stopping at least one time to see everything they have to offer. It's a true, "small Texas town" stop! Oh, and set the GPS! It's one of those "blink and you'll miss it" towns. One light and then it's gone.

I have to admit I was impressed with the fact that they have 34 doors of refrigerated/freezer offerings. They do sell beer and wine, but no craft beer. They have cosmetics, meds, party supplies, snacks, home decor, and kitchen supplies just the name a few. If you can't make it to the Brookshire Brothers just a mile down the road, this is a good stop. You will be paying convenient store prices here, but at least they have a pretty well stocked inventory on the shelves with a few out of stocks. I did notice that the floors were really dirty. It should be mentioned, they do not have a public bathroom.
