The store is full of everything, from candy to snacks. Currently, they have the store decked with Halloween items...right when the Wal-Mart next door already has its Christmas decor out. The name "Dollar General" is deceiving because people who don't frequent these stores may think this is the "dollar per item type of store," but it is not. Standard prices here, some items at a more affordable price than others, and other items slightly more expensive than the rest. I enjoy visiting when I don't want to be bugged by buying something at a larger store such as Walmart or more costly items at Albertsons. So, I am zooming in to a seminar tonight on "the chocolate regimen" hosted by ale Chocolat du Bouchard in Illinois. I have been craving chocolate since I signed up for this event...they are in Illinois and I am in El Paso Texas so I needed some good chocolate for tonight to enjoy while I watch the presentation. The operative word here is good chocolate- not left over Halloween candy, but the kind of thing you would eat if you were royalty. And so, being a Princess in my mind I opted for some truffles from this Hallmark store that is the closest one to me. I called them to see if the were open with current new restrictions. The lady who answered the phone (Pat) said they were not allowing customers into the store but you could place a phone order and they will bring what you want to your car when you arrive!!! It does not get any better than this!
