I live within walking distance of this store. It is a dump. Many of the shelves are half empty. The refrigerators in the back of the store were 2/3ds empty today. Merchandise is all over the floor and most of it looks like it was dumped out of trash cans. I have been there 3 times and only found one item that I was looking for. I was in Seattle for a memorial service, and it was pouring rain. No surprise there, but I went to Dollar Tree to buy some shaving cream and a razor. While I was there I picked up some snacks since I was going to be sitting in my hotel room watching TV. I can't remember the last time I was in a Dollar Tree store, but this one was huge. They had a lot of great prices on chips and candy, so I had to buy some. It was very well stocked and there were five or six employees stocking shelves and cleaning. I ended up buying more stuff than I really needed, and I had to leave some of the stuff in my room when I left, but fortunately it was inexpensive. I've been on a quest to find deals on stocking stuffers before the big day. I wanted to visit this particular Dollar Tree to compare inventory with the Renton location. After walking around the store I realized this one has good inventory. Items were better quality, some shelves were stocked with popular brand items, the store was a lot cleaner, no long lines, and the employee cashing folks out at the register was super friendly to everyone. My receipt said his name was Oscar. It's not on a main drag or on a major bus route so you really need a car to get here. I know there are even nicer Dollar Trees on the Eastside but I'm not about to drive all the way out there. I'm in the Southend so the Des Moines location is good enough for me. read more

This Dollar Tree is huge. I came in here to get Easter basket stuff for two people and ended up looking around for over an hour. A lot of craft items and party supplies were on sale here that I haven't seen at other Dollar Trees. They also had more snacks, kitchen stuff and seasonal items than other dollar stores. Really nice people working here too. Lots of parking here. read more

I'm so happy they're so conveniently close to me & it's not in the hood. Plenty of parking spaces and it's easy to find. The store is always stocking and putting new items on the shelves. Wasn't too thrilled being bounced from cashier to cashier. As I stood waiting, I was told to go to the next register, but there was no one there. Then I see someone finally emerge drinking, and slowly open their register. She tries to tell me someone was in front of me like a true Karen, and I said "Nope, I was told to come here." She was slow and by then I was ready to go. She decided to take on a conference call, to my surprise she was the MANAGER? And while on her phone, she was ringing things up with one hand. Wow. I just had one of the most painful experiences of my life shopping at this place just now. It's Xmas yes your busy but that means you should try to make an effort to pick up the pace. Ivy was the slowest cashier I've ever seen. Seriously it was painful standing in line watching the people in the next lane check out 3 times faster. I made a comment to the store manager and she told me my opinion didnt mean anything's so have a nice day. I will be going to the Kent dollar tree for now on hopefully it's under better management. Still refuse to shop there till this day 2/19/19. There are so many better locations close around I encourage everyone to go opposed to that location read more

Well, I am upgrading the former review because they have now started making announcements and asking people to leave the store if they come in without masks, which people do in the droves here. And the ones who are not wearing masks have no hearts or brains and are reptilian Trump supporters. But I only go once a week now if that b/c I have three immune conditions and b/c I am poor I can get body wash, conditioner, pop tarts, and antibacterial stuff and leave. I made the mistake of going in the evening last night which was my own fault and there are these Trump zombies coming in without masks and then harassing people and saying they will sue the store and then yell at me b.c I am reminding them we are in a pandemic since my mom died of CORONAVIRUS. Though the store did tell the guy to wear a mask, they did not kick him out and they need to be a lot more firm with kicking these evil people out. read more

Sadly, I live right down the street from the Des Moines $ Tree and am making a point to go to the Burien Dollar Tree. You have to wait in a ridiculously long line at Des Moines. Last time I waited and waited, finally ready to buy my stickers for my classroom and the gal told me I couldn't buy them, they shouldn't even be out on the floor. (Not my problem,) No, "I'm really sorry, but I can't sell you these." No, "I wonder if we could trade another pack for these (everything's a dollar, right?)." Great people, lots of product. It seems iblive there with how often I go in for the one item I forgot.

So everything here is for real a $1. There are some good finds and some duds. Lets start with the nightlights, they are legit! Mine lasted like a good 6 months. if you break it down your getting rid of the night time heebeejivies for less than a penny a day. Wack product includes hair tie rubber bands, not suitable for hair use, they snap, and sag, could not hold a pony tail; don't even think of using it for a bun. On to serious business, Band aids, they have their own brand. Those band aids have the feel of scotch tape and rely on static electricity to stick on your skin, these are so bad they do not satisy the band aid obsession of any kid. They do carry some legit food products for $1 that cost around $3.99 in other stores. Party supplies are pretty legit too but the all time best deal here are the mylar balloons! This particular location is clean, well lit, organized and it only has one friendly resident homeless lady. I emphasis the friendliness. This location also has ample parking, at least 50 spots. read more
