SAME NAME, DIFFERENT STORE!…read more This store was once located on Atlanta Highway just north of Mansell Rd. I am surprised that they chose to carry their old listing and their old reviews instead of creating an entirely new listing. This is not the same store because the previous store had a poor selection and I did not find the items to be quality items. The current store has a great selection of sofas, chairs, bedroom furniture, dining sets and more. It is clearly a different store, and I don't know if it's new management, new supplier, higher standards or what but this is definitely an improvement. Some of their brands included England, Bernhardt and Lazy- boy. I loved that the fabric chairs were also available in rich and supple leathers that offered cool colors such as teal, orange, red and nice neutrals as well. We were actually very impressed. They have a nice selection of modern and traditional furniture so a little of something for every décor. We were free to browse without disruption but did find several available employees when we had questions. *** Remember, this is the "new" High Point, so check them out!

I ordered three pieces from this company a couple years back. I honestly did not want to write this…read morereview until now because it was such an unprofessional experience that caused me stress, and I just wanted to block it from my memory for awhile. At the beginning, the husband and wife duo were very responsive and accommodating (I presume since they did not yet have my money). I was a little wary of spending so much for a company where all their instagram pictures were super saturated/filtered and had some bad reviews, but their initial customer service eased my doubts. Unfortunately things changed drastically after I sent my payments and received two of my three items (of which I never even received the third to date). Bed frame - the bed frame had a lot of problems and I escalated them, but a couple of the problems I chalked up to hand-made inconsistencies. The colors were nothing like the pictures; no where as vibrant even in my bedroom with a ton of natural light, most likely because of the filters I mentioned before. The coats of paint were not evenly or consistently applied and the boards had a lot of small spaces and chunks missing but I ignored these. My biggest complain was I paid extra for lamps on each side, but the light switch only controlled one of them so it had been wired incorrectly. I was essentially told that I accepted the items upon delivery so they would not fix it, especially since I lived so far, and this was upsetting after paying the price i did for a bed frame plus additional costly shipping fee for a third party to deliver and install. This was never fixed. Side tables - I received the second set of items I paid for and no complains about these. Custom mirror - I also paid hundreds of dollars for a custom mirror which I was told was not ready but would be delivered separately than my bed frame and side tables free of charge. I trusted the seller but weeks and weeks went by of me reminding them (never the other way around), and there were minimal updates with excuses about being so busy. This happened for about a year so it was apparent I was no longer anywhere on the priority list of clients. I eventually opened up a BBB case against them since it was obvious I was not getting my lamps fixed nor was I going to receive my custom mirror. In my BBB case, Gatsby Timber accuses me of trying to extort them because I asked for a refund on my mirror that I never received. They claimed it was still in production which they won't do refunds, and also that I had buyer's remorse instead of faulty items being delivered, so leads me to believe it's how they "get you" for myself and others who have had horrible experiences. I now started speaking with a lawyer and other customers I found on yelp and BBB to see what my options were. Unfortunately, he said my real only option was to take them to small claims which would just cost me time and possibly money since they obviously knew the workarounds to protect themselves as a company for when they delivered faulty items or never delivered at all. They also stated they had an attorney in place for this stuff, which makes sense after reading all the complaints. I let this company know I was seeking legal advise and they now started accusing me of harassing them I was advised to just take the hit of losing $400. Knowing this company, they will respond with their excuses and blame the client as they did with myself over email and the BBB case, and other dissatisfied clients I spoke with. So, I offer screen shots to display how unprofessional they can be and ask them to give a reason why I never even received my final item. This was easily the worst transaction of my life and I consider myself a pretty laid-back, easy person to work with and I always give benefit of the doubt to smaller businesses and individuals. It's unfortunate that my experience and others was so sub par, but hopefully this review can help people avoid submitting themselves to the same turmoil.

After a bit of time, all of the cheap hardware and bases used by them on these pieces have rusted and are coming apart. They used without question the absolute cheapest quality materials. The big timber coffee table is outside on the patio and I am amused at the fact that it is the favorite place for my dogs to hike one leg. I get a laugh every time, man what a joke these two are.
