    Received a completely different bed than advertised. Smaller headboard in height and width, no side tables, and waiting on reimbursement.

    Overview: -Continuous delays and vague timelines -Terrible customer service, would not return phone calls, texts and emails -Delivered the incorrect bed and has not refunded the difference between the Marji bed ($1250 paid) and Chelsea bed (retail $900) that I received (photo uploaded) -Less than stellar quality -- the side of the bed bowed out and courier said it needed a bracket installed and the lights are held together by tape Detailed Version: I ordered the marji bed and submitted a 50% deposit of $802.94 on July 19th. I became increasingly nervous as I saw more and more negative reviews begin to pop up on yelp and google. The most concerning part of the reviews is way the company argues with paying customers in response to their concerns. Unfortunately, the reviews are correct, and I would also advise to not do business with this company. I was given a 9 to 10 week turn around, but Tiffany told me in late August she would have the bed to me by September 10th. Recognizing that it is a small business, I did not complain when the bed became delayed into past September 10th. As weeks passed, I called, texted, and emailed, and I continued to receive vague timelines of when the bed would actually be built and delivered. Finally, I was told that my bed would be delivered in the early afternoon on September 30th. By 7:30pm, after a wasted day staying home and continuous back and forth asking where the bed was, the courier finally arrived. Once the bed was put together, I realized it was not the bed I ordered. It was missing the extended headboard from side to side (picture uploaded), the side tables, and one of the wood planks bowed out on the side. The courier said he could come back with a bracket, but I asked that he call the company and confirm if was the right bed. At that point it was 8:30pm, and he said he would come back with the missing pieces or the correct bed. I called, texted, and emailed Gatsby Timber over the next 24 hours, letting them know that I believed they had delivered a Chelsea bed to me. I sent photos of the significant differences between the two styles (including the price) and my original order request. When they finally began returning my emails 24 hours later, they said they would not be returning my calls and continued to communicate by email only. I explained two ways we could both clean our hands of this back and forth, 1) they refund me the difference between the marji and chelsea bed ($350) or 2) they deliver the actual bed I purchased, both fairly reasonable proposals considering this was their error. They proposed building/bringing random tables and asked that I measure the bed so they could "match the tables". I did not want the bed I had originally ordered pieced together with different stain and an incorrect build. Tiffany confirmed she would refund me the money, but then John took over the back and forth by email. After 20+ emails back and forth with them arguing with me, I asked again that they just refund me the difference of the bed they built me. I have been promised a refund two evenings this week, and I have received nothing. I am only requesting a refund of the difference between the bed I ordered and the bed I received, even despite the poor customer service and less than superior quality of the bed. https://gatsbytimber.com/collections/beds/products/the-marji-reclaimed-bed-by-gatsby-timber As of 10/16/2018, the company has still not processed a refund. After continuous back and forth, the company has been reported to Georgia Consumer Affairs and the BBB.

    Not even sure how to start. The bed was almost 2 months late and when it arrived the leg was cracked. Also, we ordered a barn door for our bathroom. The back side of it was scratched and none of the nail holes had been covered. So, if I close the barn door, I get to see a zillion black nail spots & a huge scratch. Contacted Tiffany at the site & she basically said they had inspected the bed & that the delivery person was always great. We sent her the pictures. This is a huge king sized bed. What did they think that we moved it within 5 minutes of it being delivered? I have no idea who damaged it. But, it needs to be fixed or hauled back away. Normally, even if customer service wants to get away without fixing issues, they try to pretend that they are nice. Not here. Tiffany basically accused us of lying & I guess taking a sledge hammer to the leg. You think I could move a huge king size bed and damage a leg within 5 mins of it being delivered? Save your self time and money & just get a bed from Restoration hardware or Pottery Barn These people are going to send you inferior product, it is going to be weeks late & then it will be all your fault.

    I am madly in love with my king size gray washed Chelsea bed and my white washed end tables. Tiffany and John are great and I couldn't be happier with Gatsby Timber! I would recommend them to anyone looking for some really sturdy, custom and beautiful furniture. Thank you.

    We absolutely LOVE our white washed Chelsea in King Size headboard! We also got the matching side tables and are in love with our purchase. I highly recommend Gatsby Timber for all your woodworking needs. We will definitely be using Gatsby timber again in the near future! Thank you!

It's one of those stores where you can walk away with a neat or charming piece of furniture, wall decor or gift and you never know what you'll find. There's something so satisfying about this kind of shopping. I often come here without any specific piece or need in mind, but I always walk out with something that is perfect for my home ... The staff is so friendly and you can tell they love working there and are proud of their artists and vendors. Since there are no shopping carts/baskets, they can hold your items for you at the front when you're ready to check out. I highly recommend signing up for their newsletter so you can keep up with their sidewalk sale dates or other fun events. I came unknowingly on a Valentine's week event and sipped on a free mimosa as I shopped - how perfect is that?!!

It looked nice when we picked it up, but about 5 weeks later the paint started to peel up all over which indicates she skipped the spray prep to prevent such an occurrence. We know this as Melissa had explained all the steps and products she would be using in the refinishing process. Our end table is a now mess.     ANTIQUE FURNITURE AND HOME DECOR!…read more Hamrick's was one of the largest furniture vendors showing at the Braselton Antique Festival this past weekend. If you are looking for storage pieces, this would be your guy. In addition to interesting chests, and dressers, he also had tables, chairs, and unique antique items. I actually found a sideboard that was interesting however, I needed it to be twice as large. It was in good condition but I knew that I would be settling if I purchased it. I am trying to consolidate a lot of items so I need a monster storage chest that is about 60 inches long and 4 feet tall. Yes, I could purchase this rare item new but it would cost $800- $1200. I saw one a few days ago for $1200 but the material was listed as "other". Really? I am not paying that amount of money for spit and glue, I need a quality built item that will last foreva! That is why I love antiques because there is no guessing. I have friends who prefer modern design and that's fine but what is that comprised of? Modern design is great for aesthetics but I need substance. If I purchase something I love, I want to be able to keep it for as long as possible. I know wood, I grew up with wood, I recognize wood and I trust wood. Everything else is just fairy dust! I was really impressed with the items that Hamrick's was showing at the festival but I would really want to visit the store because most vendors are not going to bring those "mammoth" pieces to their shows because they are just too large and heavy. I get it!
