The check out line was forever long just crazy long across the store. Get used to it people, it's the holiday season. Thank God I got the most chill super cool laid back associate when I asked how he was doing he said he was "chillin." Made my day to see someone so super chill among all this chaos take it in stride. I could use him as a life coach. I was burning up it was so hot in the store with all those people and the long wait. He was awesome. Process in process out. Super professional with a calm demeanor. Prices were decent. Selection was good. Thank heavens this isn't the TJMaxx experience.

Not a lot of designer items at this location. Pretty much the same merch as it had two months ago. The fitting room clerk was excellent. He has a great way of keeping track of how many items go in by asking if it would "be easier to hand them to him" (from the cart) and takes you and the items to a fitting room. I actually liked that. The cashiers were not the best. The stood there having a personal conversation for two minutes (yes I timed them.). Once their story to each other was finished they were engaging w/customers and good, but I unappreciated (greatly) being ignored and not rung up in a timely manner. Nordstroms policies are slipping. So is their merchandise selections. I just didn't feel there was any value or savings to most of the items that were there today. This is why I probably don't shop there often as I'm usually disappointed.

am writing to share feedback regarding a recent return experience at the Marshall's New Albany,…read moreOhio location, which was far more difficult and unpleasant than it needed to be due to the behavior of a cashier. I was returning two sweaters purchased online--one size large and one size medium. The large did not fit, and the medium was damaged (a button was missing). Both items were brand new, still had the original brand tags attached, and I had the receipt available electronically on my phone. Initially, I did not have my phone with me inside the store. Although the cashier was able to locate my receipt in the system, she stated she needed to see the receipt on my phone because it contained "pictures." I understood this requirement since the items were purchased online and did not have Marshall's tags. However, I was then incorrectly told that without the original plastic bags the sweaters shipped in, the items could not be returned. This was confusing and frustrating, especially since I had proof of purchase and the items were new with tags. When I asked what I was supposed to do, the cashier responded, "Honestly, I don't know what to tell you," which came across as dismissive and unhelpful. I ultimately went back to my car to retrieve my phone, after being told I would need to get back in line. After returning to the line, I unfortunately ended up with the same cashier, Kayla. I provided my phone showing the receipt, photos, and matching item numbers. At that point, the return was processed--but it was issued as a gift card. When I asked why, since I had the receipt, I was told it was because I paid via PayPal. When I asked where that policy was stated, Kayla said she did not know. To avoid having funds tied up on a gift card, I asked if I could return the items I had just purchased (over $100), then repurchase them using the store credit. She confirmed that I could, but questioned why I would want to do that. After retrieving the items from my car again, I returned to the store. At that point, I overheard Kayla discussing my situation with another employee in a clearly negative manner. When I approached, she stated she was no longer open, despite audibly talking about me moments before. Another cashier assisted me, completed the return and repurchase efficiently, and the transaction was resolved. While the situation was ultimately fixed, it required multiple trips to my car, unnecessary confusion, and enduring rude and unprofessional behavior. The issue itself was not the policy or the process--it was the attitude. Talking negatively about a customer within earshot, being dismissive, and making the customer feel like a problem was completely unnecessary, especially during a relatively slow time in the store. I understand policies must be followed, and I was more than willing to do what was needed to resolve the situation. However, courtesy and professionalism should still be the standard. This experience did not reflect that. I hope this feedback is used to improve customer interactions moving forward.

Holy wow. I've never been to this Marshall's'/HomeGoods mega store, but I will be back. We were in here for 3 hours! Clean, well lit, LOTS of merchandise. The seasonal section was huge. I never even made it to beauty or shoes, but they looked like decent sized areas. Anyway, if you're a Maxxinista, this location is the real deal!

So it's super easy to compare selection and prices. Also have SteinMart, Marshalls, and then the entire Easton shopping area. And then 2 Goodwill stores on the other end of the spectrum. That being said, I had come straight from a Clothes Mentor where they had a 30% off spring/summer selection (like all of it). Style Encore didn't have anything like this - but they do have clearance items within each article's area. 70% off those clearance things - so great deals if they have anything you like. What I saw were mostly items that made me ask myself - really? Some designer thought this was a good idea?? I was looking for shoes (tennies and heels) as well as jackets and blouses. I tried on one pair of heels - but one foot in let me know right away - NOOOO! The price was a little high for that pair, but they looked brand new. Looking at the tennies, they were all over-priced. I didn't even look at sizes as I wouldn't pay those prices. I didn't really look at much else. I think I was done shopping at this point. The location is great for me - right next to the Dollar Tree and near SteinMart, too. Not too bad to get to traffic wise - it's a the intersection where going a couple direction - things get dicey. The shop itself is a little small. I think they might have one fitting room - where Clothes Mentor has lots more space and several rooms. I don't shop here too often as I really have to be in the mood to shop or looking for something in particular. I really should stop in more often . . .

The lady behind the counter was very nice and with the help of a male coworker quickly went through 4 tubs of clothing only to make an offer on 1 pair of unworn shoes with tags and in the original box. The offer? $3. My wife looked around and passed on the offer and the few nice shirts she tried on. It seems like they get some nice clothes in here and they are priced well but they probably won't take anything you sell unless it's name brand or it's brand new. The other things that led me to write a 2 star review are this: mediocre playlist that gets interrupted after EVERY song to play a commercial for the store which specifically states "a store by women for women." Then why does a man work here and also determine which clothes to buy? Next up is the nauseating air freshener aroma. Too much! If you must come here, be prepared with headphones and nose plugs.
