Customer Service is Null in void to say the least , I went in there to pick up a few things , get to the register see items that said a $1.25 on the rack and package , I ask the cashier Deja was it a $1.25 she nastily replied "I don't know I'll Check " she scanned it the price said a $1.50 and she continued to ring so my issue was the sign and package still reflects $1.25 so I'm like nobody is going to do nothing about it she said ain't nothing we can and gone do about it either you want it or you don't !!!! Totally uncalled for the manager was right there I said to him you hear her right ?! Then I thought about how he canceled the young lady in line prior to me because the drawer didn't have enough money in it to give her the requested cash back , he went on to rant about him not understanding why people just don't go to the bank , but cash back is a service Dollar Tree offers , these people represent Dollar Tree in a bad way , keep on employing uncouth personnel and it will be known as the company formally known as Dollar Tree read more

This location is quite rude I called to see if they were hiring she told me I called before which I didn't this was the first call this morning. She didn't care though and hung up the phone on me as I was looking for employmen. I don't recommend this location for a job or to shop. Very much rude and didn't let me talk. read more

This location don't allow or offer a way to add more reviews on its actual website. I can see why. This location is one of a few options the people of this area has to go to that may not be mobile. The food is limited in selection. The food isn't worth purchasing in that is such a small amount for prices more than $1 up to $12. There is very little order throughout the store and a lot of the staff is lazy. However they are nice, always have the correct bags and will help u if u ask. read more

I had the most absolute horrible visit I've had some in establishment in a long time especially in my community of cottage Grove. Visit at the store today after I drop my kids off at school. And dropped my my son off who works at target next-door. Bought some cleaning supplies for my truck and went outside and cleaned out my truck. Now I am a handicapped upstanding citizen of cottage Grove of 18 years.I frequent many establishments in the area but never the DG. So can somebody please tell me why they called the police not only just the police I had three squads pull up around my truck. Now I understand people will do a safety check but I was clearly wiping my car down inside and out, and they can't even say it was a safety check because I literally have the employee on a recording telling me they did it for their safety and their sanity which makes absolutely no sense .So when I call this establishment asked to talk to the manager. I said is there a time limit when I come in and purchase something and come right back out to your parking lot is there a time limit that I'm on as far as being parked . She said no there is not. I said then why did you guys just call the police on me? This woman literally said it was for their safety and their sanity. There was also a white woman parked a few spaces over who was there longer than me. So after talking to them play what I'm getting is they were scared of me. Why because I'm a tall mixed female driving an older model truck? But it's OK for the white woman in a brand-new car. Not only that I am very handicapped and it took me a little time just to wipe down my car but the point is I bought the items from there and got The police called on me for doing literally nothing!! And I did make sure I got everything on video and the recordings of how stupid the employees sound telling me it was for their own safety in their own sanity. I will make sure this gets out unless a manager contacts me and lets me know what the problem is or was and why their employees were scared of me. Just a regular person purchasing items in a store. I can almost bet if it was a tall black man he probably would've called the cops too. Ban Dollar General in Cottage Grove!!!! Let it be heard. Please make this make sense! I feel stupid and violated. This is literally what is wrong with the world today employees like the ones that were at the dollar tree today April 28 at 12:30 PM. Some ice yet to hear from manager I have no choice but to make a tik tok for my 30k plus followers and get word out about how racist these employees are. It's sad. I've never felt so violated and disrespected in my life read more

I came in to buy some light grocery items and thrye making somewhat better attempts at keeping the store clean and they have newer staff there since a couple people previously aren't there anymore because either they quit or was fired not surprised giving how they were texting and talking on the phone when they're were supposed to be working and you never know if someone from corporate is paying an unannounced visit to see how well the store is running and if staff is doing their job. Workers need to be careful because Yelpers are watching with due diligence and won't hesitate to write what they see because part of being a Yelper and especially on the Elite squad is to be transparent with reviews to let others know when it's worth or waste of time with that particular buisness or services received. Either way this location is slowly redeeming themselves to getting back to a store that's orderly and clean. read more

Dollar Tree - Dollar Tree employee on her cell phone having a personal conversation when she was on company time and on the floor. - Discount Store Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

This store is a block from where I live located at 8517 Cottage Grove Ave. Everytime I go there it is always an attitude with the cashier. I just left there and today it was the same nasty, nasty attitude. I didn't say one word to the cashier I had my reusable bags in my hand, so she didn't have to ask if I needed a bag. She told me total I gave her exact change. I counted the change out and placed it on the counter, I then gave her the paper currency in her hand. She said "y'all so rude, I had my hand out for a purpose.". I still didn't say a word, no need to. Because the female workers always seem to be in a rotten mood I just don't communicate with them. I won't let them spoil my day. She throw my receipt on the counter. I pick it up and dropped it in my bag. As I was leaving she begins talking to another customer about me. Because I have God in my heart I never looked back. Again I was not going to let her ruin my wonderful mood. I pray that God put happiness in their heart. They seem to be more concerned with talking about the customers than doing there jobs. But, I.also will not participate in this store again. It's not worth the trouble there are other Dollar Trees. I worked with the public over 30 and I made my days go just fine just by showing respect. Customers don't won't you to do anything but be RESPECTFUL. read more
