I forget about this Dollar Tree until I'm just about to pass it. It's a nice Dollar Tree and is usually clean and well stocked.
I went by there Friday afternoon to pick up some items for a party i was throwing the next day. I also needed to get some things for me personally, so I wanted them rung up separately.
So as I'm putting up the first order on the belt, I tell the cashier, Christie, that I wanted these items "separate", and then put the rubber divider up and loaded up the rest of my items. As I'm unloading the basket, I don't hear a pause or the cashier telling me my first total. I look up and she is ringing up everything together. I stop and say, "I asked for these items to be rung up separately." Christie seemed to be quite annoyed by this and said, "I thought you just wanted them in a separate bag. You didn't say."
Ummmmmm - why else would I put up the rubber divider to designate separate purchases? Christie was not happy about having to do her job correctly and just kept huffing and puffing.
I just waited while she did what I asked to do in the first place. I enjoy this store, but Christie is not a great people person and maybe she shouldn't be in customer service. Just a little insight. read more
