If I want top-of-the-line cosmetics, Sephora has way more selection and is way more fun to browse, plus it doesn't feel like you'll run into Grandma at any moment. If I want bargain hair products, Target's the place, and any regular salon for higher end hair care (today's trip was for a shampoo listed in Real Simple for $15. Ulta's price: $17). For a haircut, I'd just feel more comfortable at a place that specializes in hairstyling, not a place with 3 chairs tucked in back next to the Jessica Simpson hair extensions ($99). I guess their prices explain how they manage their massive square footage, except I still don't understand who shops here...other than Grandma.

It looked very well maintained and had a large selection of party supplies, kitchen/bath, toys, etc. This location also has a well-stocked frozen/refrigerated section. If you're looking to get some snacks on the cheap, this would be a fine option! I, myself, was in a rush to get some things before a spring blizzard hit. Made it out with some small frozen pizzas, snacks, and other essentials for just a little over $10. Staff was really friendly and there's ample parking. This is also located closely to a Cub grocery store, but seriously, check out the Dollar Tree to save a little scratch.

CVS can be very expensive and with a name like "Dollar General" I was hoping to see some lower priced items. Unfortunately, the prices seem very high for the grocery items and I would only ever use them in a pinch. The store was clean but seems very crowded with items. They were still working on putting items on the shelves, so there were a lot of carts out in the aisles. The plus side is that they had A TON of variety. This was like a little grocery store but also had some decor items, baby items(diapers, food, wipes) Holiday items, ect.... There is tons of parking and self check out for a quick in and out! Overall I will use this place in a pinch, but I still prefer dollar tree for quick and cheap items.

Eh, not great…read more Selection is fine, and tbh the store is incredibly clean/organized compared to many others, both DG and other "dollar" stores. That said, this location seems to have issues getting and keeping employees and has since they opened within the last few years. And the ones they do have right now? Kind of rude, they hide in the back, and you don't see them until they see they need to ring people out. There's 3 self checkout registers and none of them are ever open; I used them twice during the first 3 months of this location being open, never to have used them again, resulting in some INSANE lines as they make the single employee check out everyone on a tiny lil' counter that doesn't fit more than 3 items at a time on it (this is true for ALL of their registers/counters; that one is actually the biggest one). My biggest peeve is the young man with dark brown/black hair. Taller, average build. I just heard him ask an obviously disabled (judging not only by her speaking and demeanor, but noticeable scarring all over her body as well) girl why she shopped the way she did, grabbing many items only to need to buy only a few. I swore she was going to cry. All in all, a decent store. No problems with the store itself beyond checkout, really. The employee issue has been an ongoing problem since day one it seems, though.

And no, I couldn't find one, even though I came across other binder covers that could probably work...but they were too bulky :-( I was surprised how big this store was and that it carried a wide variety of merchandise though. Even though I didn't find the Day Planner Cover I was in search of, I did end up buying some office supply nick knacks that can come in handy someday.... I don't know if I will back, since this store is a little out of the way for me, but it was an interesting field trip!

I found a journal for $4 at another location and was looking for the same one but a different color for my friend. They did have it for $10 and the same one I got for $5. I thought I would ask if the $10 was supposed to be the same price as the $5 one because they were the same exact item just a different color and I was told no, the price is what it is - understandable. I decided not to get it and to adventure back to the first location I seen it for $4. After contacting Customer service MULTIPLE times including spending over an hour on the phone after work one night, I got absolutely nowhere. Found out they never even charged the creditcard at time of purchase to load the gift cards. So instead of $200 being charged and loaded onto gift cards the clerk charged the giver $5.44 and loaded $0.00 onto the gift cards. But of course it's been crickets from Barnes And Noble since I notified them of this. They don't actually care to rectify the issue.
