I would never return to this dollar tree again!!! On Christmas Eve I was returning cello wrap, which I mistook for silver wrapping paper, in exchange for another purchase I was making (last minute Christmas items--nonfood items). As soon as I informed the young man that I was doing an exchange the first response he gave me was "we don't accept exchanges for purchases made with food stamps". First and foremost, I had no food items AT ALL. At the point in time they were super busy and I didn't want to make a spectacle, so I decided to call later to speak with the manager--so this racial profiling incident can be avoided for future references. Instead correcting the situation she was actually making excuses for the employee, stating that he was just informing me of "their policy". I wonder if he would've done the same if I was Caucasian? Doubt it!!! Can't believe that after all these years race is still an issue. Definitely won't miss this town, never experienced this much racism in the 30 plus years of me living than I've experienced these past 3 years of me living here. read more
