Hello all! As a former worker at Walmart, I would like to reveal the truth. There is a lot of crooked ways that this specific location has, which many of you are unaware of. I'd advise reading this lengthy statement before deciding to either work or shop at Walmart. Asset protection -Walmart has hundreds of cameras. This includes cameras above registers and all around the store. They use this technology to zoom in onto people's phones and look at their personal information. -They will catch people stealing and pick and choose who to arrest or take action against. There are multiple customers who are common shoppers, whom are known for stealing. Yet, Walmart still lets them shop there but will arrest someone else. -Asset protection picks favorites when it comes to employees. You may think they mainly watch customers, but they watch employees too. Employees who have been here for years will go on their phone while on the clock, walk away from their work area and wonder around, and not get in trouble for it. They have connections with members of asset protection. When it is a new associate though, asset protection is quick to get you in trouble. Walmart gift card scam Asset protection -as many of you may know, Walmart has a big issue with the security of Walmart gift cards. There are scammers who find a way to hack into them and access the information. So when you buy the money, it is gone within a few days. Walmart is reluctant to reimburse people who have been scammed. Yet, they have all these cameras and cannot track people down who compromise these gift cards and allow their customers to keep getting scammed. Workers -Many of the workers here are not your friend. They will pretend to like you, but gossip about you heavily. Smile in your faces while degrading you behind your back. And some of them literally complain when you need help with something. If you need assistance with something you do not know how to do, don't bother asking them because they will get pissed off and sometimes even refuse to help you. Not very "team player" of you guys, like you said on the application when you applied to Walmart. Expired foods -Even though Walmart has a net worth of 1 trillion dollars, they cant seem to value the needs of their customers. There is so much food, especially at the grab and gos that are expired . I would see food with expiration dates from months ago that they keep on the shelves. I've founded molded food and much more. There has even been call backs on great value Walmart items due to food quality issues. By the way, they still keep many of these items in the store that are on recall. They wait until you grab it and go ring up to deny you an item that was on the shelf. Benefits -there are not many benefits for working here. Many people have a false misconception that it is, but it is not. They have taken away a lot of benefits that they have had in the past years. They do not even give performance based raises to cashiers. They give a little raise for a few cents, each year. Even when minimum wage goes up, they keep you at the same pay as before. Also, when they give you some benefits, they take away others. For instance, they now allow the 10% discount on most items, but took away the bigger discount we always received for December Christmas shopping. Nepotism -Many people get hired here from connections. There are managers who have their kids working here. There is a family of a mom, dad, and daughter who all work here. This is no coincidence. It should literally be illegal to hire all these family members together. Takes away opportunity from others. Points system -you can literally only get 5 points in a 6 month span. God forbid you get sick for one day or something happens with your kids. Walmart does not care. They will fire you. They have tried to fire people who had hospital notes. Literally in the HOSPITAL. They did not let people stay home from work when they had COVID. It was either come in or get fired. They had sick people working there without a care of who could get affected. read more

I am from the DC area .. helping my parents out in Spring Hill .. needed my meds transferred to this location .. spoke to Melissa in pharmacy .. very friendly and patient .. explained my situation .. had my doubts .. brought all of my docs ... all was ready .. I went into a great happy shock .. the pharmacist was very understandable and friendly .. the staff was moving and grooving .. I am very pleased. So far so greeeeaaaat! read more

I want to Walmart to get a drinking and I was with my son I went to go pay and the lady in the register had a face like she didn't want to work there so I went to go pay my champagne and she what mine id n my son my son is under age and I'm over age but she told me she cnt sell the drink to me because my son dnt have id he dnt need id if he under age she call the manager and the manager took like 10 min to come to me and when she arrive she had a face like she didn't want to be there she had a smiley tattoo on her had but she gave me the worst attitude and when I told her my son dnt need id she said she didn't care this will be the last time I'm coming to this Walmart I always come her she lucky I dnt report her to Ethics this Walmart need better management all the time I go there they always playing with the phone or u have look for a employee it looks like the hiding read more

The majority of employees at customer service are rude and have poor customer services skills . Upper walmart management need to train staff in proper customer service or Walmart should hire educated qualified managers who can manage store staff . I feel silly reviewing a Wal-Mart but we all know they are not created equal. I wish they were. This one is clean and organized. They even stalk items I wished the Wal-Mart in Englewood Florida would. Englewood is my home town and lacks the selection this one has. Silly item? Torino's Pizza. This location has Hamburger Pizza. Not one in Charlotte, Lee, or Collier do. I pop in and out of Wal-Marts when I travel to see if they do and if they do, I have my cooler ready and we buy what they have. The kids like them. No, our children are not overweight, but we let them enjoy this snack because they are so active and darn skinny. Sure, I eat them too, but just the Hamburger one. The staff also seemed very helpful. If I could give this store a lower score . . .Like a negative score, I would. Absolutely unprofessional and exceptionally rude. I went to pick up an online order of groceries. The employee came out and loaded the stuff in the back of my car. So far, so good. As I was leaving I noticed that my Extra-Large Marketside Supreme Pizza was missing. I stopped, checked my app, it wasn't deleted or "not-in stock". I then turned around and headed back to the pick-up parking area. I stepped out of my car and asked an employee in the lot if I could find a manager in "there" (gesturing to the doors where they emerge to pull the carts to cars. She said "Yes" and nothing else. When I got to the doors, they were not opening for me, which wasn't unexpected but a woman came out and I told her that the pizza was missing. She asked for the name and parking spot I had been in. I provided that info. and she walked back in. Just after that some guy with an obvious attitude came out and rattled something incoherent. When I said I couldn't understand him he just pointed to the parking lot and said 'You can't be here!'. To which I replied "Sure, as soon as I get my pizza I'll be happy to leave". He just repeated "You can't be here!". At this point I let him know what I thought of him. It wasn't pleasant. Then I asked for his name. He hid his name badge, when I asked twice again, he threatened to call the police. Wow! Complaining about horrendous service gets the cops called. That's rich! I then marched myself to customer service with my bad heart, shouldn't be in the heat. When I arrived there I was nearly having a medical emergency. The poor girl behind the counter had to get my nitroglycerin and open it . . .She looked terrified, but the customer service I received from her and another, older, woman and a young man. All were falling over backwards to help. Naturally, they were interested in what had happened. When I explained, and they were able to ascertain the name of the individual who was so rude and threatening there wasn't a surprised face among them. Nothing was said . . .It didn't have to be. That brings us to today. I called to make sure that I can transfer all of my prescriptions to another store. The employee was very nice and helpful. I gave her a brief on the event and she was eager to get me to a higher level manager to discuss the situation. She then advised that the manager would be busy until after 3:00. That time comes and start calling. Repeatedly. Either no one answers or I got hung up on. So, someone named "Noel" is the manager who threatened me with police for complaining about a missing product. Also, "Stacy or Tracey" is the more senior manager who won't answer a phone call. Great work, team. Now, pat yourselves on the back while lying about the incident and badmouth me all you want to justify your atrocious customer service. Despicable! read more

The team lead at customer service (Cody) is so incompetent it's not even funny. He told me my product does not match the serial number on the box as I'm retuning an item, and then I asked for a real manager not a team lead. He brought over the electronics manager and she goes Yep that's completely normal some products won't match and process the return anyway. read more

It's a Walmart. The part of the store where the merchandise is kept is in the usual unkempt order. Not one of my complaints because I mean, do you expect any better? The first problem that I have is never being able to find an employee. It's like they hide. I walked all the way from the fish tanks to the middle of the front of the store (a register!) before I saw someone. When I finally got someone I got an attitude. "This is usually saved for Garden but I'll see if I can get someone." when the woman showed up she was borderline hostile in her demeanor. Another example: Late night Christmas shopping with my then heavily pregnant friend. Multiple people shopping in the store and someone gets the bright idea to completely block the aisle with pallets. We get tired of waiting so my friend (who works at the Walmart in Brooksville) moved the pallet herself. The woman comes around the pallet (where she's watching the whole thing) and asks my friend, and I quote, what the f**k she was doing. I reported her to the supervisor to absolutely no avail. You could tell she didn't care. The last complaint: the bathrooms are disgusting and they don't care! I had to use the restroom and held it because EVERY SINGLE TOILET was absolutely blood red. I'd imagine teenage girls thought they were cute with leaving their toilets unflushed. I told someone immediately, went and checked out, went back! And still not cleaned. Wouldn't you make that a priority? No no no! Go to another Walmart. read more

This Walmart is what you would expect: disorganized, kind of dirty (can we talk about that smell in the bathroom?), and riddled with noisy, bum-wheeled carts. However, why the 3 stars, you might ask? Because I saw a glimmer of hope. While at Walmart the day after Black Friday, I went through the Garden Center to check-out. The cashier in the lane behind me (oh, how I wish she had been my cashier), was the sweetest, kindest, and most welcoming employee that I have ever seen at a Walmart. She was an older, African American woman, wearing beautiful earrings and a purple jacket. She greeted everyone with a smile, and even said "Hello, how are you all?" to people entering the store. I immediately forgot about the Death Race feeling I had while in the store, the fact that no employee helped me load a 100lb box into my cart, and the frustration of seeing grubby kids wipe their boogers on the carts. I wish I knew her name...but, whoever she is, she should be promoted to CEO. read more

Don't use their curbside pickup. I waited over an hour and a half the last time and now I showed up at 620 for a 5 to 6 pickup. We attempted to call and could not get anyone to pick up the phone as it kept going back to the operator, so we had to drive 20 minutes to find out they didn't have our order ready. I understand things are tough during COVID BUT the 2 problems I have is communication and they took my money before they had even picked the order. So Dominos can tell me the status of a pizza, but I can't get Walmart to give me the status of my order, no one can pick up a phone and say "sorry your order was delayed" or send me a message? Finally, the money is out of my account and I don't have the product, they said it may take 48 hours for it to come back to my account. I'll be driving to another Walmart from now on. read more

This Walmart had make-up that the Walmart in Germantown doesn't. It was clean, organized and no wait to self-checkout.

I had a puck up order that was delayed. Understandable under the circumstances. I know everyone is stressed and working hard to which I'm grateful. However, when I call and nicely ask that since they will be closing soon, could I pick up the order tomorrow I DO NOT accept a rude response. I was not demanding, I was not rude, I was attempting to work with the staff and alleviate some of the stress. The rude way I was spoken to was totally uncalled for. Poorly done. read more

It is sad that you have to wait 15 minutes to pick up 1 item that weighs 36 lbs and the Wal-Mart employee can not Evan find a shopping cart. Wal-Mart if you want the .com online orders you need to make an effort at the store level. read more

Walmart Supercenter - I just love waiting for my walmart.com order - Grocery Near Me - Brooksville, Florida

They have more than other grocery stores in the area and are competitively priced but management needs to stay on top of how much they order. They run out of stock on certain popular pet food brands easily forcing me to shop on Chewy or in Petco. This Walmart also needs to train their undercover security employees a little better. They stick out like a sore thumb, making it obvious they're following you from isle to isle. These security employees also are unprofessional and give people rude looks as they pretend to look at things while making eye contact with you. On one occasion an undercover security employee passed by me very closely when there was enough room for this employee to move aside. There was no need to brush up against me it was unprofessional and intimidating. Also, please train your employees to not cough with their mouth open as they pass mask wearing customers. It's unprofessional and still qualifies as physical assault because of Covid. read more

Grocery pick up. They did not answer the phone for check in. I checked in on the app prior to arrival. (At 445) At 5pm I called 3-4 times and got voicemail. I called the store and explained they said they would relay the message. At 515 I called again and got voicemail so I had to call the store again. A lady answered and had severe attitude. Canceled the order and left. Poor service AND poor communication skills. read more

Called to take my truck in for an oil change. Waited 25 mins on hold. When someone picked up they were so rude. Told me 15 mins wait. I showed up 5 mins later and it was over a hr wait! The person running the register didn't seem to know what he was doing. They told me one price and charged me a higher price. Never going back to this place. read more

Just left the Walmart on Cortez Boulevard and what a disaster. I guess they must've laid off a lot of employees because every basket was in the parking lot, trash cans were overflowing, garbage on the ground and to make matters worse when we went in to the garden center, there was a mouse running around. DIGITAL IMAGING DEPT. My 17-year-old cat just died. A friend happened to have a fully body picture of her in her younger days. The picture was taken on a bed and included the sheet, a Gatorade bottle, and a newspaper. I took my USB image with me yesterday at 8:00. They said right away, "It won't be ready until 10:30." The woman helped me with the USB part. I just picked up the photos (three different ones). I am amazed. The one on the sheet looks like a professional background. The Gatorade bottle is gone. The newspaper was blended in. I didn't even ask them to do anything. It's far more than I was expecting. I am so grateful. read more

First of all, most people today, especially young families, need stores like Walmart. So, yes, they will get frustrated when shelves are not well stocked, or the lines are too long, or an associate is abrupt or rude. However, I've noticed something else with the Walmart at this location. Here it goes. Employees are drama-freaks. They will engage in gossip, sabotage, and even play spies to catch customers in the act of whatever. Yet, loyalty to Walmart is NOT priority to them. If you complain or critique anything, you get an "oh well" attitude, or they play dumb as a door knob. They'll say something about a customer even when the customer is at close range to hear. Maybe the customer isn't always right, but...YOU - Walmart employee...are you always right? Ethics, civility, the best Customer Service is NOT on their agenda. I, personally, do NOT need the employee playing "toughie" with me. I'm NOT there to fight with you. I'm there to shop, spend money, and get the product and service I need. These employees need to separate customer complaints from being a personal thing. It's NOT a personal thing, EMPLOYEE! Get off your drama and work! read more
