This Dollar Tree is awesome. Everything is $1 and they have a full stock - groceries, home goods, pet items, toys, office supplies, party stuff, etc. plus two aisles of seasonal items. I come here all the time to do my weekly shopping. Staff is friendly and store is clean. Only complaint is that check-out lines can get long during busy periods. read more

Something really needs to be done about this business because even the employees are complaining! 1st of all, I know stores in Brooklyn get messy, that's fine.. but dirty? Almost all of their shelves are super dirty like they've never seen a rag a day in their lives.. and I get it.. they probably do not get paid enough to care.. but this is a well known company.. they should send out people to clean this place up at LEAST once a month. There's also no air conditioner in there.. that's wild. It's summer and NYC gets super humid.. those poor workers and customers. 3. Most of their time their stuff doesn't work. I was there today and the belt on the register didn't work.. they also require you to use exact change if you're paying in cash. What? How about corporate comes out here and fixes things up. 4. These poor workers are exhausted and irritable. One person working a line of 20+ people while every other register is closed, why does this even happen? I'm wondering this place is a franchise and the owner just doesn't care? Corporate needs to step in and fix these issues. This place used to be a bit better about 10 years back. It's horrible here now. If you go out of state to any other Dollar Tree, it would NEVER be as bad as here. I was accused of stealing and accosted outside this store has my bag taken and searched and they found nothing, later I returned to speak with management to find out that their protocol does not allow an employee to do what they did. Dollar Tree stores in general are usually pretty good, right? Everything $1, things you need and plenty that you don't need. My favorite items include tissue paper, balloons, and paper plates. So why the low score for this Dollar Tree? Wellllll, this particular location is a hot-flippin-mess. Every single time I've gone into this store (whether its after work or early on the weekend) the store always in a state of chaos. There is stock everywhere...except the shelves. I mean there are boxes of products lining the aisles ... meanwhile the hooks and shelves are bare. And then IF you are even able to find what you want - the line to check out is ALWAYS at least 8 people long. At least! I passed by one night and there was one cashier and 15 people in line. Why is there always only one cashier? There are 4 registers... come on Dollar Tree! Hire more people!? The staff is ok. I've encountered a couple nice people, and another couple who just seemed burned out. I also need to note that the foil balloon 'department' is great... when they have balloons in stock and they have a full helium tank. There's at least 20 balloons to choose from - from birthday to congratulations to colorful star shaped balloons and of course they are $1 each. Note to shoppers purchasing balloons - pick your balloon first and then bring them to the cashier to purchase... once purchased they'll call another associate to blow them up for you. read more

What a joke this store . This store is disgusting. It's a freaking MESS. And they're all too busy talking about who fought who and how ghetto they are. They talk about personal stuff around customers and curse up a storm. They're horrible. No help whatsoever. I was in one day, came in again the following day and the store was in the exact same condition. A WRECK. They come in and hang out, talk about stupidity and then have attitude and are extremely rude with the customers. They get paid for talking trash and being on their phones. Lines are ridiculous cause they're always on break. You lost a customer. This store is the worst. It's probably worse than target, where you come in and try not to spend all your money. It helps that everything is $1, but that $1 adds up quick! I have never had a problem with Dollars Tree;but today (May 9'19) this location was closed due to their computer system being down,which is understandable things do happen( This info came from a neighboring business telling random customers about the problem). I find it ridiculous the employees did not even have the common decency to put a sign on the front door, saying that they were closed. You can buy everything for a dollar each and they beat the competition. You can find cheap products at dollar tree that costs more at other stores. The products are always in stock and plentiful. Went there on a Friday morning. We are in December (Covid year). We wore a mask, the store is well stocked and sign all over to keep 6 feet away. And then when you have to pay?? One cash register open, a lady that was doing everything in her power to speed up the process and she was answering the phone too!. Half an hour wait!!! Does it make any sense? What about being stacked in a closed space and breath the same air with 40 other people? There goes all the disinfecting and social distancing! To the manager, you have to get people out of there as soon as possible when is time to pay !! Com' on now! Went o Target there was a lady that helped expedite the lanes, Home Depot same thing. Not a great experience. Closed the party isle, when I specifically came to purchase party items. The isle was apparently closed for cleaning. I was expecting for the attendant to offer to pass me what I needed as oppose to reject business. However she didn't, she was rude and didn't even ask what I needed. I asked if the store had blue cups for my party and she said no without looking, two seconds later I found the cups I needed, and had to reach over the U trucks for stock. Yes yes, it's a place to get cheap products for even a cheaper price. I've been to a handful of Dollar Trees in the city and in Long Island, and I must say that this one is one of my favorites. It was just built a few years ago, so it's on the cleaner side. On top of that, if you go on the right day, this place has everything!! They're many Dollar Trees out there that tend to be low in stock or running out of high-demand items. This Dollar Tree, on the other hand, is always well stocked. My only complaint is sometimes the Staffing is very minimal. There will only be one cashue, which can be quite a wait. But seriously some of the stuff that you buy here for a buck, costs a couple of dollars more elsewhere. I live in the area and I stopped shopping in this store last year for one reason. The heavy set white manager. I went in the store after a while not being there and I see she is still there. I here the girls call her chrissy. She is very rude very unprofessional. If you ask her something she is very nasty. She is always yelling and arguing with the customers. She is cusing all the time even with kids in the store. I had my kids with me one time I had to leave the store. People in the area dont like going there just because of her.Unfortunately a lot of them dont drive so they will send someone else to go shopping for them. its very sad that with her behavior nothing is being done . I'm used to shoddy customer service from Dollar Trees but this location takes the entire cake. Apart from the store looking like it's continually recovering from a burglary the service from cashiers is abhorrent. The caveat to getting a great sale on items is having the worst possible service from a cashier as possible. In order to avoid all out arguments with cashiers customers have to keep conversation to a minimum and grab their stuff and go. Inquiries of any type are met with condescension and flippant attitude it's a disgrace. I just visited the store with my classmate and we asked about the balloons for sale and the cashier would follow each reply to our questions with a long pause and careless sleepy uninterested eyes and stance. She couldn't care less what we had to say and eventually I spoke up and said "obviously you can't be bothered." All hell broke loose after that as she took my appeal for decent service as a personal dig to her attitude. We had an all Out verbal brawl. If it wasn't for the affordable items I would never set foot in this establishment. The cashier disregarded us and tossed our items to the MANAGERS register and this speaks volumes as to how terrible customer service is placated and made the norm in this business. The staff at this locations especially the cashier are mostly rude. Even when the store is busy they will always have 1 cashier open. Once a lady who wanted balloons from this locations was disrespected because of how unorganized this store is. Instead of telling the lady that she needs to pick out the balloons she needs and go in line to pay one cashier starting yelling she is having a bad day and doesn't have time and will slap some customer if they bother her.
