From $1 vitamin water to deals on cereal, pasta, health and beauty care products, greeting cards, school supplies, small appliances to toys, Discount Plus is the place just about everyone goes in the neighborhood. I think it is that small town touch of knowing their customers names that really makes the store special. So if you want to save money and need something for your house or apartment, definitely think Discount Plus!

There is a store manager in store that saw me standing in front waiting to come in, and he said nothing. Not even, Im sorry mam we are running behind to open up this morning. Instead he opened just to let 2 more employees, in while the others employees stand around waiting. Looks like he started a morning meeting, during open hours. I paid for meter parking too. Its now 9:09, and I am still standing here waiting to wnter the store with another customer. Smh. This is the junction location, in Brooklyn, NY right next to Target.

Another kind was bamboo but it looked like it wouldn't last. The best thing about this place was finding raw demerara sugar; that's cane sugar that hasn't been stripped of its nutrients; less processed than turbinado. And it was only $2.49 for a 14-ounce tub! I've never seen demerara sugar this inexpensive before. (Another store had it for $9+ a pound.) Went here after dropping off a chair at Das Upholstery. I will be back when I pick up the chair and get more sugar and maybe pick up some Ball jars, which weren't as inexpensive as Target but worth not having to buy a pack or make an extra trip.
