I think it is that small town touch of knowing their customers names that really makes the store special. Another kind was bamboo but it looked like it wouldn't last. The best thing about this place was finding raw demerara sugar; that's cane sugar that hasn't been stripped of its nutrients; less processed than turbinado. And it was only $2.49 for a 14-ounce tub! I've never seen demerara sugar this inexpensive before. (Another store had it for $9+ a pound.) Went here after dropping off a chair at Das Upholstery. I will be back when I pick up the chair and get more sugar and maybe pick up some Ball jars, which weren't as inexpensive as Target but worth not having to buy a pack or make an extra trip.
