Customer service could be better! I called in before going to make sure the glassware I needed was in stock for a baby shower . I go to pay, the female in the first register by the front door noticed my cart with all the glasses and says to me "why did you choose my register". It's Dollar Tree so we expect limitations - whether it's unstocked shelves or 2 cashiers yet 5 registers, we get it. This location though is surprisingly stocked really well - mid to lower Bronx locations need TAKE NOTES. 4 registers were open and while it was crowded, I didn't mind waiting as they kept the lines moving. I saw items I've never seen at other spots well... because, shelf. And since this is the case, we come all the way up here to this location in order to have the best Dollar Tree experience read more

Only 2 cashiers with lines dragging far down into the isles. Really? Dollar tree makes such a profit and they can't afford to put a third cashier on? I shop in the Co-City (Bartow Avenue) Dollar Tree often. I am shocked at the reviews that there is nothing there and that the isles are not filled! They are always putting out stock, so I'm not sure what the deal is with saying the shelves of empty. It's true, from time to time some things are not available, but most time I get what I need as I buy certain things religiously. I buy my tissues, paper cups, paper plates, plastic bags, plastic garbage bags, calendars, hair brushes and some hair supplies, brand dish detergent and lots of other things. They do carry some brand names as well. I have no complaints with the store. We had the dollar store here before. Not everything was a dollar, but I bought there too! Dollar Tree (Bartow Avenue) is clean and I've found the people polite and helpful. You go in, get what you need, pay and leave. Came here for my crafting items which prices cannot be beat by any of the big craft stores. The place needs to be kept a little better as the products were scattered around. I didn't find all I needed so I'll have to go to another Dollar Tree. It's a little annoying that the items were a little damaged. I love all Dollar Tree's. I honesty can't believe I still payed a buck for a bottle of soda. The products are nice but I was confused by the packaging of some (looked like it was just piled in the bag) but it's okay. It is usually crowded but you honestly can't beat the price. as you are well aware i love dollar tree and that includes the mess , long lines , sarcastic workers and customers who are rude as hell . i can walk in any dollar tree with 20 bucks and walk or crawl out with almost 20 items . this dollar tree in the bronx at co op city at the bartow shopping mall area is one busy place . i usually do the perp walk from first aisle to last grabbing and picking up stuff off the shelves and into my cart . they carry the a to z of the typical dollar tree offerings and at a buck a pop you really can't bitch and moan about the quality . i picked up some home cleaning supplies and a few other basic goodies and made my way to the long line. really does not matter what time or day you stop by as its always crowded with dollar tree hunters including me. read more

This is seriously one of the better dollar stores available. Sure the line gets a little long and some days it feels understaffed, but every item is actually $1, not $1.59 or $2.39, but $1 (how do these other "$1 stores" get away with this. Every time I come here I find some random item that I actually needed. I'm a fan. I imagine if you live in co-op city, this location is extremely convenient. Happy shopping. Located in the Bartow Plaza shopping center in Co-op City, this store specializes in selling discontinued items at low prices. Similar to a traditional "99 cent" stores, this location near the Bay Plaza Shopping Center usually is out of most items on any given day. Store is not well maintained and finding items can be challenging at times. There's a decent kitchen aids section, but otherwise there is not much for me to make a visit here. Check out National Wholesale Liquidators at Peartree Plaza (691 Co-Op City Boulevard) for a better selection of discontinued items at clearance prices. read more

Lots of good items to buy for only a buck. Good for stationery needs, and also for vitamins or tylenol. The aisles can be long and wait time can be a bit long. Even if there's only one person ahead of you, they bought everything in the store. Some of the items are not the best quality, but it's called the "Dollar Tree" for a reason. Excellent for basic stationery on the cheap. For teachers, its a treasure trove of knick-knacks and things for the classroom. Crowded and disorganized at times, but again, early morning and after 7 pm visits can help to make shopping there a better experience.
