This is a very good little Cajun market. If Poche's is closed this is the next best Cajun market in…read morethe area. A great little Cajun market. One of my top 3 in the area. The Butcher here makes some awesome chicken & apple sausage. WOZA. The best way to have his Chicken & apple sausage is for breakfast with Bourbon maple syrup & buckwheat pancakes. You can tell him I said that ;) Anyhoo, he also makes some amazing seafood stuffed mushrooms. Yum yum yum. I want to drive over right now & get some of those. Last time I stopped by I got a whole giant pack of them, BBQ'em on the grill, then hubby & I fought over them till one bounced off the grill & the cat ran off with it. The irony. They are slightly different than Poche's stuffed mushrooms these have a whole shrimp on top of them. Meow! :)' My only complaint is they don't carry any fresh baked breads by Gambino's Bakery & that is a cardinal sin for a Cajun place. Come on y'all? Don't be cheap coonass's order the Gambino bread & I will update my review. Merci à bientôt.

They have all kinds of stuffed roasts, chicken and marinated steaks. They are also known for some of the best boudin and cracklin in Acadiana. Rees Street Market is a nice little store on the main drag headed in to Breaux Bridge. It is on the right side of the street for a stop to pick up supplies before heading into the famous Crawfish Festival, and you are sure to be welcomed by the friendly staff that always makes you feel like family!!! This is one of my favorite places to shop!!! If you are in town stop by, you won't be disappointed!!! Reste affamé mes amis!!!

C'est Bon! I was so excited to come to this Cajun grocery…read morestore! This store is located in Breaux Bridge, which is the crawfish capitol of the world, so you know it's gotta be good. Walking in, you can see that they are serious about keeping things cool- this is one of very few grocers that I've seen that sells huge blocks of ice, not little cubes in a bag, but big bricks of the cold stuff. Inside the store, you'll see all kinds of Cajun foods that you can't get in Yankee land. I enjoyed looking through their pre-made foods for their southern style cooking. Be sure to check out their sandwiches. Everything looked delicious! Someone makes them some of their local foods- I got some pepper jelly that was made especially for this location! The store was a bit dated, and not as fancy as some that you may have been in, but it makes up for it in charm. They have lots of the best Cajun brands, as well as some national ones as well. The prices were a bit higher than some other stores, but you're out here in the bayou, so it's hard to get. The clerks were friendly though. There's a small liquor store in the corner of the store. They sell all the national brands, but don't expect anything wild.

The staff are so friendly and knowledgeable, they are very patient and explaining different products and looking up inventory and orders. They spent so much time with us to make sure we are comfortable with what we are purchasing, they have all kinds of things including clothing, tents, shoes, kayaks, tackle boxes...you name it! Best place in the area for sure!! Another huge thing for us is that we bought a losing system to help get a heavy fishing kayak up on my SUV, they have a guy help us to try it out to make sure my husband is comfortable doing it and if he isn't they would let us return it..we love that they really care and not just here to make another dollar!

From the community events and guided outdoor adventures they are always something fun going on. I'd venture to say this just might be my husband and I's favorite little spot/shop in Lafayette. There is nothing else quite like it!!!! It's truly a special little treasure to have in our community.
