Granted, I'm not running out buying appliances every other day, but if i were, I'd try to buy them here. Another reviewer mentions using Buy Now for appliances to help them flip houses affordably. I would totally use them for that! The biggest challenge is either having someone that can swap out your appliances or haul away your old ones. If you use a handyman service, it will cost a bit, but if you're buying something like a fridge, you'll still probably save a lot. They'll hold a purchased item for about a week. I've been shopping for a fridge for several months, resigned to paying an arm and a leg. Buy Now has close outs and scratch and dent appliances for MUCH LESS than new in a store. They're unboxed and ready to go! After much hemming and hawing, I settled on a GE. It was one of the few that didn't have the original packing inside. As I was lining up a handyman to help me get the old one out and the new one in, I got a call. They had tested it and found it did not work. A replacement part was ordered, but i was also given the option to choose a replacement. The guy I hired went to pick it up and it seems like he was in and out quickly. They had refrigerators, stoves, washers, dryers, and tons more. I'm definitely going back next time I need a new appliance!

You can find deals, but hunting for them is worse than a bad Goodwill store. Check the merchandise carefully for defects. Check the size labels on the apparel itself to insure you're getting the right gear/item you thought you were buying. Even Ross does better than this. If you have idle time, give it a shot, but you may get really frustrated at the inattention to detail. Otherwise, avoid this location.

I bid, won, and picked up 3 items and still had my bids refused. I think they are funneling equipment to one specific party and are actively keeping new users from elevating the price of the equipment. I would speculate someone connected to govdeals is buying a very high % of the valuable equipment and allowing the public to bid is a sham. I can think of no other reason to use such an old and terribly inefficient process. They need to find a REAL auctioneer or online auction process. Send everything there and close this store. This is what every other university in the state does and hopefully someone at IU will wake up soon. Close it or find a real leader. Preferably an honest one. The Bloomington stores seem to be their test stores. On one hand, I was impressed with the fact that the cashier seemed to be in a good mood. I have been in on some days and it seemed like the employees were simply there in the hopes that death would come in and rescue them from their Dollar General Hell. I'm glad she was in a good mood, because on a busy Sunday afternoon, she seemed to be the only one in the store, so I got to enjoy a nice long wait in line since there seemed to be no backup. The shelves were messy and cluttered, but that's pretty common for the local stores. The crowning touch is the credit card machine that's held together with electrical tape! It's a wondrous sight to behold. So if you want cheap crap, this is definitely the place to go. If you want to see what it would look like if Wal Mart pooped out a sad little store, this is the place to go. If you want to have an enjoyable shopping experience in a store that's obviously cared for and treated well, you're gonna have to keep driving. This ain't it.

Distinctive Home Furnishings is located near Menards, and I hope they're here to stay. After I received my tax refund, I decided to take a look around. My old Flexsteel had popped a spring, and because it was kind of beat up, I thought a new recliner might make a nice treat. They had some BEAUTIFUL floor models, and had catalogs showing almost any variation you could think of if you wanted a different color or material. In some cases, they had less expensive options if you don't have a premium brand budget. After running into some health issues, I had to take a new recliner off my wish list. However, being an authorized Flexsteel dealer, they were able to assist me with the repair of my old recliner. Because Flexsteel offers a lifetime warranty on their springs, I was able to breathe new life into my old recliner, and my back has thanked me! If you have a repair done, just be ready to wait. Those things take time, but totally worth the wait. I'm grateful for their help, and when I have a recliner budget, I'm heading back as fast as I can to get one!

Every single person working is kind and thoughtful and really goes out of their way to help. The delivery was incredible too, the movers even stopped to chat with my friend's grandma!
