Hi, I was a prior worker of dollar tree and when I was first hired they had treated me nicely or so…read moreI thought, long story short I got fired for the job "not being the right fit", and this was just after two weeks, after I told Lorena one of the managers I was autistic, she decided that was enough to categorize me as not able to work with people and should have a job that thinks in black and white, that couldn't be farther than the truth I love spending time helping others and know how to switch from task to task and be on time for work, i loved the charity they have going there, I also filled in for another employee and went to a mandatory training in a spare of the moment, (she was almost late to call me in to do this) and it's truly ironic because I was working 36 hours a week at one point and went to a community art school and had a boyfriend, I could do a 12 hour week pretty easily. She than said I would be burnt out in a week because she thought I would be like the others that were supposedly like me, and from a business perspective I should be terminated immediately. Needless to say this came from nowhere and had me in shock because up tell than I had been working hard and I believe she had no patience and understanding. I also was paid only 75.50 instead of getting my full income of 350.00 which was owed for my 26 hours. I also know some products are defective like the ginger bread houses icing having an odd taste, don't eat it, who knows what some other food there tastes like. Well in the last 36 hours of being terminated I have been in severe mood swings and we couldn't get a hold of the place which they also seem to have a problem with. All and all you wouldn't catch me dead in that dollar store again she treated me unfairly and all I wanted to do was be where the people where if anything else, I was so excited to work there and help out and be a productive person in my community.

Anyway, this location is modestly-sized and isn't overflowing with crap (again, as some Goodwills are), so there's a bit less on the shelves and racks to sift through. Sometimes it can get overwhelming, but this experience wasn't. I myself found an awesome pair of lightly worn black PVC sneakers that are gonna look great with some stuff that's already in my wardrobe-- part of the fun of thrifting is creating new outfits from completely random purchases! Employees seemed alright. I was there towards closing but I didn't feel too rushed by them to get out, which was appreciated.

Since COVID is still present in the area, they have little "6 ft away" stickers on the ground for places people can stand to maintain distance. This location is always packed/busy when I go but they are really efficient at keeping the lines of customers out the door quickly! Location: It is on the corner of Lake near the on ramp to 35.
