When the manager (name tag said Chad) arrived, he acted as if he didn't know what was going on even though the situation had just been explained. He then said the issue was that the purchase was over 30 days old, which neither the cashier nor I had been told earlier. His tone felt dismissive and unprofessional, and at one point it seemed like he was mocking me while asking what I wanted to do. In the end, the store did exactly what I had asked from the beginning -- process the return and give store credit. When I asked for the manager's last name, the cashier refused to provide it and only whispered her own name when I asked. I've been a loyal HomeGoods customer for years and even have their credit card, but because of this interaction I will not return to this location.

Every aisle seemed to have another great find, and instead of feeling like I was on an episode of Storage Wars, I actually enjoyed browsing. The employees were genuinely friendly, smiled, and seemed happy to help. That alone sets Ollie's apart from a lot of retailers these days. And I have to give a shout-out to whoever curates the music. Instead of the usual elevator soundtrack that makes you wonder if time has stopped, it actually made shopping enjoyable. Then I found out they have a 30-day return policy. That completely caught me off guard. I honestly can't remember the last bargain or closeout store I visited that confidently said, "If it doesn't work out, bring it back." When things go on sale, there are two categories, red and yellow. Red clearance stickers mean it's been marked down once, or that it's still eligible to be marked down more. Once the sticker becomes yellow, that is the lowest price you are going to get for it. A sampling of brands you can find at TJ Maxx - Juicy Couture, Kate Spade, Michael Kors, Ralph Lauren, Wenger, Cynthia Rowley, Ben Sherman, Lucky Brand, Seven for all Mankind, J Brand, Under Armor, Paper Denim and Cloth.....the list goes on and on. TJ Maxx is the primary store that I shop for clothing at. Everything from socks to underwear, sleepwear, jeans(got a pair of seven's for $70), jackets, hats, you name it.
