They always have a lot of seasonal items and they are well displayed. Last time I went I was looking for photo frames and albums and they had quite a bit of selection. I loved it. These are great for easy and inexpensive but thoughtful gifts btw. Their gift supplies section is also very impressive. I've rarely needed employee assistance here outside of check out but all the employees I have come across have been friendly. They have a new check out area that wraps around with little items to shop/buy (like a Marshalls type vibe). This is the first time I've seen this at a Dollar Tree and I loved it. It was Christmas season and their display easily showed me a few items I could get for stocking stuffers. They also have self checkout and a person to check you out. I liked that as well. I prefer self checkout and was able to use the machine easily. I highly recommend this store.

Fast forward to recently, my girlfriend and I got back into collecting Pokémon cards. When she suggested giving The Collector another try, I was hesitant, but we decided to check it out again. To their credit, the pricing has improved compared to what I remembered, even though it still tends to be on the higher side. We also met a few people there and started making friends, which made the experience more enjoyable. Unfortunately, over time, those friendships seemed to fade for no apparent reason. It started to feel like we were being singled out or treated differently, and the overall atmosphere became uncomfortable. Whether that was intentional or not, it left us feeling unwelcome and targeted. Because of that experience, we've decided not to return. While there are some positive aspects to the store, the overall environment no longer feels like a place where we want to spend our time.

So imagine my surprise when I walked into Goodwill today with a very specific item in mind and found it within FIVE minutes! I ended up grabbing four shirts that I thought might work--three men's long-sleeve flannels and one women's long-sleeve flannel--and the grand total was only $21. Honestly, that alone made this a successful thrift store trip for me. The selection here is pretty good, with everything from kids' and women's clothing to men's clothing, coats, shoes, and home décor. They also typically have an add-on area with things like jewelry and other miscellaneous items. There weren't a ton of plus-size options, so that's something to keep in mind if you're specifically shopping for those sizes. They also had a sale going on today with 25% off blue-tag items. You do have to actually search for the sale items because they aren't all grouped together in one special section, but there were definitely some good finds mixed throughout the store. Overall, this was a VERY successful thrift trip for me--which is honestly surprising because I usually have terrible luck at thrift stores when I'm looking for something specific.
