I went in to purchase gift cards, and asked if I could please get a gift receipt for each card. I asked the cashier if it would be easier to buy them separately since I was getting 5! She said "no that won't be necessary" so she rang up all 5 and I paid and she handed me the receipt Not even a gift receipt, so I asked for the gift receipts, she said "no I can't do that". I asked for a manager, and of course the attitude started, manager shows up "no we can't do that". Asked for a refund, "no we can't do that" Then why did she tell me I could get a gift receipt for each gift card purchased? "No she didn't say that!" I was just blown away by the incompetence of the manager & cashier. Customer service is not something this store values. I have been to many dollar trees, unfortunately this is the worst! I'd rather drive a little further and not have to deal with them anymore.

The having to look at a price sheet to convert the currency is new, but not a big deal. The store is always "hit or miss", meaning one time I come home with huge bags of stuff and another visit I find nothing. The categories they tend to do well IMO are household goods (think kitchen/bathroom/storage/hardware related), the Japanese snacks and holiday merchandise. They also have yard sculpture pieces outside that I did not look at. They have good prices on some really good looking cabinets, as well as doors of all kinds. We have a older house, and so will be slowly renovating. DHW will be our first priority of places to come to for that vintage look, as well as the current stuff. I've had this same experience with the older employee every time I come into this store. I would add her name, no name tags either!
