Dollar Tree - Clean well stocked - Discount Store Near Me - Garland, Texas

Unfortunately the employees here are not nice, helpful or courteous in any way shape or form... I went in to purchase gift cards, and asked if I could please get a gift receipt for each card. I asked the cashier if it would be easier to buy them separately since I was getting 5! She said "no that won't be necessary" so she rang up all 5 and I paid and she handed me the receipt Not even a gift receipt, so I asked for the gift receipts, she said "no I can't do that". I asked for a manager, and of course the attitude started, manager shows up "no we can't do that". Asked for a refund, "no we can't do that" Then why did she tell me I could get a gift receipt for each gift card purchased? "No she didn't say that!" I was just blown away by the incompetence of the manager & cashier. Customer service is not something this store values. I have been to many dollar trees, unfortunately this is the worst! I'd rather drive a little further and not have to deal with them anymore. read more

The manager at this Dollar tree is horrible. The cashier was really nice when I questioned which items are $1.25 in which are $1.50 she didn't know so she got the manager. The manager was extremely rude and said that the new price is going to be $1.50 for everythingbut right now some things have $1.25 on them and they're still charging you $1.50 they said they've been doing this since March and that we should all know by now, that is when I asked how we're supposed to know which is which. read more

Even compared to other dollar stores, this is the single messiest and most disorganized, retail location I've ever been in. Aisles will be blocked by boxes or items thrown off the shelves, the signage is wrong, etc. read more

I was at the location on Broadway and Centerville. I was with my grandchildren, walking up one of the aisles for an item I needed. There was a lady working there, and she was working sitting down on a chair with rollers. I said, excuse me and my did as well. She rolled her eyes at and I thought that was pretty rude, but did not say a word continued walking through grabbed I needed and walked around to the aisle next to it and a birthday card. While we were looking at the cards, she said "rude ass people do not even say, excuse me". I said to my did you not say excuse me? He said yes grandma I did and I said I know I did . So I continued grabbing what I was looking let's I would like to speak to the manager about her then we hugged her say "I wish she would try me. " this behavior is not acceptable from an adult woman, an employee at that . We were shopping and were never rude to her, she was working in the aisle where we needed an item from we were very kind to her and professional her behavior is not acceptable when she heard we were going to see the manager she ran up there while we were in line. I don't know what she told her but she sat in there and after we paid we went and spoke to the manager, I told her what happened. She called me a liar and kept her head down on her cell phone. The manager just shouted out her name, Shirley! and told me she would talk to her , she made it sound as if it was not the first time. There was another customer there that said she is always rude and talks garbage to all customers, I am sure nothing was done, but this is not OK for her to work there , I will never return to that location again. read more

This place is so unorganized. It is a mess. Looked for over 30 minutes to find what I needed because of all of the mess that was on top of it. The person I asked for help couldn't even find what I was looking for. I had to look an additional 15 minutes, after he left, under mounds of stuff before I found exactly what I was needing. I'm surprised Dollar Tree will let a place like this operate under their name. I'll shop at the Dollar Tree store in Wylie before coming here again. read more

Poor Manager When employee asked Manager for my balloons she got screamed at. Manager then came and didn't fill my balloons all the way . Manager went outside to have a smoke and a chat with her daughter who stopped by when maybe she should been helping the cashier since only one lane was open and I feel bad for that one nice employee who helped me. Glad this location was right by my house but I was wrong because I'm never coming back- very unhelpful and lazy employees, always out of balloons, don't always have everything, and not well organized. read more

Last night I went in to shop. When I got to the register, the employee had her cell phone out on speaker phone. She left it that way throughout my interaction with her. I had 7 of one item and she told me that it "wasn't for sale". She said that the item wasn't in their system but she didn't even make an attempt to scan any of them. read more

I got here right at 9:00 on a Saturday morning (the time it was supposed to open) and an employee was standing outside telling potential customers that the person who was supposed to open the store was not there and it would be 30 minutes. It has been 30 minutes now and she is still telling people 30 minutes. About a dozen potential customers have come and gone. Not sure if the store will ever open today. You would think the home office would not be too pleased.... read more
