This has been a day from hell trying to shop at this Walmart! First, I was at self checkout ringing…read moreup $300.00 worth of groceries and the young girl working there was insulting the whole time. I finally had enough and told her to keep the damn groceries! Then, I talked to some manager ( Michelle) and she called someone over her to come and talk with me. Well, UPPER management was so concerned about me ( the Customer that spends money up there every week!) that they never even came up to talk to me! And then, I got a text my car was ready ( from the oil change) I go pay for that. Get in, the check engine like is flashing red, I turn around go back and told them in automotive....the girl that rang me out said, just drive it, it will go off. I drive it 15 miles home, still on. Walmart calls to bring my car back, they had left a plug out when they changed the oil! (?) WTH?? I will NOT be spending any more of my money at this store!!

I visit this Deals store on occasion - usually to look for holiday decorations, candy and household…read morethings like rubber gloves. On my first visit, I came in to buy candy and ending up browsing. And during that initial visit, I appreciated how many items this store has to offer and how well it's laid out. The patrons and workers take care of this store. I don't know how long it's been open, but it doesn't have the "tired" feel of most discount stores. And it's neat. Things aren't all piled up on each other in any random area; each section is separate and where you would expect to find something it's usually there. I didn't initially think of Deals as a "dollar store" but there are a lot of things that are $1. If I had kids, I come here every other month or so, give them $10 and let them go crazy. And if I were just starting out and not sure of what I needed, I would come here to buy dinnerware, glasses, etc. The prices are comparable to (and in some cases lower than) Wal-Mart and Target, so why deal with the parking and long check out lines of a bigger store? I don't know if I would have ever gone into this store if I wasn't dealing with a "candy jones" but I'm glad I did. Now if I'm in the area, I'll go in and pick up a flyer to see what deals I can get, and I suppose that's the point. Yelp 100 #21

This place was a little tricky to find at first. I actually had to call, and one of the employees…read morecame outside to wave me down from the road -- which I truly appreciated. That kind of effort doesn't go unnoticed. That said... a sign out front would help a lot. Once inside, I was pleasantly surprised by the variety. They carry a wide range of home décor, and the prices are very solid. Definitely one of those spots where you can stumble on some real finds without blowing your budget. The only downside of the experience was who I assume is the owner following me around the store, trying to strike up conversation and push me to buy something. It felt less like friendly customer service and more like pressure -- almost like he was begging me to make a purchase, which took away from the browsing experience a bit. Still, I can't deny they have some really good stuff, and the staff member who helped me outside was great. Despite that one uncomfortable moment, I'll definitely be back -- next time with a little more patience and a clear mission.
