So we tweaked our order and still scored 3 great sandwiches. 3 sizes of sandwiches based on amount of meat was a new concept. Middle size was perfect (6 ounces, I believe). Toppings were fresh and plentiful. Checked out the prices and fairly reasonable for the convenience. Cold beers were spot on!

And it's only eight minutes away from me. Of course it's a little more expensive for some items (although there are a lot of great deals there too), as is the case with EVERY single convenience store. SMH. Lol. Once I had extra guests and ran out of pillows. I did not want to have to go all the way into town, so I took a chance at this DG and sure enough my problem was solved (so yeah extremely convenienced!) I've called a number of times to see if they've had something and they've always been courteous. It's a very clean store every time i've gone there. And everyone at the counter has always been very friendly. I am thankful and grateful.

She's Crafty! Yeah, she's Crafty!…read more Yeah... I admit it, I'm an artsy craftsy type of gal, and this is one of my favorite web sites for book arts stuff, ideas, inspiration, and just drooling. I wish I were rich. *sigh* If you want punch tools for leather or metal working, paper arts stuff, embellishments, doo dads, grommets, anything you can think of that you can put on a book, basically, it's ALL THERE. Prices are competitive, too... plus there are online workshops, info, and photos of what others are doing to help inspire you. It's a site I go to only when I have some money to burn. If you're like me, you'll LOVE this site!! Update 4/26/08: I just took a week long Book Arts Technic course with Christine Cox, the owner of Volcano Arts, and it was the BEST THING I HAVE EVER DONE to learn new art skills. SERIOUSLY. There are only 6 students max, although we only had five. You get lots of one-on-one time with her. She's written articles, been in books, been everywhere and done everything to do with book arts, metal smithing, etc. She's super talented and I have learned SO MUCH in her class! I will post the photos of the books I made. You'll be so jealous. I still can't believe that I made them! Anyway, if you ever wonder about how great these classes are, just ask me!!

Historic general store in the town of Volcano…read more It was a warm day on the first day of August so we stopped by the Country Store to buy some cold drinks. Inside you will find things and stuff of all sorts from picture frames to toiletries to groceries. The atmosphere is so nostalgic with lots of character... I love it. It is a historic general store and it was pretty cool. The Country Store is also the town's Visitor's Center. It boasts of the longest-running general store in California having been in continuous use since 1852. Wow, that's an amazing record. The store fits in perfectly in the quirky town of Volcano. The sweet lady behind the counter thanked us for stopping by. There was only one thing I was disappointed about... that we did not order food here (we had lunch at the St George Hotel). They even exchanged me for a 10k bracelet which was sticker priced for $999 and took away my life time warranty as "fair exchange" to top it all off I went to the Arden location first to see if I could get the bracelet fixed there or get an exchange, the ladies there couldn't tell me which item I could exchange it for. No knowledge of pricing whatsoever! No compensation for inconvenience of driving from Arden to Roseville either! take your business elsewhere! Trash management and business.

Apparently they have a no refund policy and if it's broken, they won't give you back what you paid. I complained a bit and they finally decided to give me a credit in the amount I originally paid. Ridiculous that I can't get my money back for a product that I never got to wear, and I was forced to exchange it for something else. I will never come back here again. Employees are not empowered to make customers happy and make something right. Do not shop here and if you do be aware that you cannot return anything no matter how crappy the product is.
