I will say that now, especially the men working the meat counter. They either ignore you, glare, or tell you to go get what you need from the pre-packaged area instead. We stopped getting meat there a while ago because the meat is either expired or rancid. We ended up throwing away a Thanksgiving turkey and several packages of hamburger, steak, etc. We still liked the produce, baked goods, and some of the cooked items. We haven't been in a while because we've found other stores that we liked better. We went a few days ago and was absolutely blown away by the new prices. They have skyrocketed. I've never seen a store jack up the prices this high before. Some of the prices are double to triple what they were a year ago. Could not justify the price, knowing that I could literally drive two minutes down the road and get everything for a lot less. We watched several other customers take in the prices, shake their heads in disgust and walk out the door as well.

We went on a Sunday and the parking lot was packed so we had to circle to find a spot. Luckily, there seem to always be people coming AND going so it only took a few minutes. Freshfields Farm is split up into 3 distinct areas - the fresh meat store, the fresh produce store, and the ice cream (and hot dog) window. We decided to head to the meat entrance first. The area is not that big but it is just lots of selections of fresh meat, cheese and butter. The meats seemed to be pretty good prices, slightly below Publix where I normally shop. There was ground beef, turkey, steak, chicken and seafood. Plus some huge cuts of meat like picanha and ribs. If you are going to have a BBQ, this is the place to go. Also, workers were constantly bringing out new packages and some people were waiting for them. I picked up 2 pounds of ground beef and some boneless, skinless chicken breasts. The cashiers were nice and super quick. Then we headed outside and then next door to the produce section. Basically the same as the meat department but filled with produce. There were bins of fresh strawberries when we walked in as well as avocados, a whole section of bananas and plantains, rainbow carrots, and even full cacao pods! I'm guessing they just showcase fresh seasonal produce so for example, while there were fresh plums, I didn't see navel oranges. There was also a fridge case full of squeezed juices and lemonades. And a big section of various types of mushrooms. I got a package of sliced cantaloupe and a big pack of 30 eggs. We checked out the ice cream window, which looked super yummy but because we hadn't eaten lunch yet, we decided we'll come back another time to try it.

I shop at other grocery stores too, but this place is definitely becoming one of my favorites. You can also bring your own reusable bags, which is a nice bonus. I made a stop into this store after a very disappointing visit to the other Grocery Store nearby (Publix), which had 4 yellow peppers to choose from and all of which were wrinkly. I was so pleased to see not only a plethora of peppers but also how nice they looked. Okay so you're not coming to Winn Dixie for peppers? That's fine too! I find this store usually has everything I need stocked, easy to find, and it's clean. IMO it Would be a 5 star grocery experience if I didn't have to use self check out what feels like 80% of the time I'm in here (I can't stand this so it really feels like a 3.5 star experience to me).... They do usually have registers open but after a certain time (still can't figure out when that is!) it seems like they reduce the registers to self checkout only and tbh I'm just not a fan of that - maybe I'm a little old fashioned. Either way, this store is nice, usually not too busy. I will add that the Customer service is usually great when I do get the opportunity to interact with their staff.

This Winn-Dixie location is in the Lockwood Village strip plaza and has plenty of parking (always a plus). The store itself is clean and the staff was friendly. The store itself was also pretty well stocked, so I was able to do my shopping and find everything that I needed. I was also in and out in a relatively quick amount of time. It is good to see Winn-Dixie making a comeback by aggressively remodeling not only their stores, but their business model overall. I am especially pleased with their meat department. For a supermarket who billed themselves as "the beef people," they had lapsed by offering cheap cuts. Now they are putting an emphasis on their USDA Choice graded beef and are regularly doing some pretty good specials. I would definitely recommend this particular location of Winn-Dixie.

I have tried a pina colada smoothie in the past which is really good. I also like that they are reasonable price. They do up charge for milk alternatives and I believe occasionally for extra syrup pumps. But I paid around $4.80 for the small and $5.30 for the medium. Overall a good deal.

This Walmart Neighborhood Market is conveniently located on Alafaya Trail. It is convenient not only because it is on a main road, but is also convenient to the University of Central Florida (UCF) so I am sure that a lot of the students and faculty frequent these aisles. All in all, I will give this particular Walmart Neighborhood Market three stars. It is nothing special, however, but as I said, it is a Walmart Neighborhood Market and you can get in and out in a quick amount of time (though it is Walmart, so expect to check yourself out).

One of our favorite Publix locations is this one on Winter Springs Blvd. in Oviedo. They are one of the smaller, quaint stores, but they are one of the best! They usually have everything I'm looking for and their produce doesn't rot in 2 days after getting it home. All of the Publix stores has impeccable customer service. They have great BOGO deals! Their stores are always clean and neat. When I mentioned that some locations are not so good is because their buyers of produce is purchasing old produce, which rots after one or two days after getting it home. The other problem I have is they discontinue products that are commonly used, while still stocking products that I can't imagine people even buying! There's no rhyme or reason!
