Very Disappointed -- Ongoing Pharmacy Failures I am extremely disappointed in my experience with this pharmacy, and unfortunately this is not based on a single interaction, but a pattern that has persisted for several months. On multiple occasions, I have not been notified when my prescription was out of stock. When I call to check on the status, staff often seem irritated that the phone has rung at all. Instead of proactively helping, I am repeatedly told that it is my responsibility to call surrounding locations myself to see if my medication is available. This has resulted in significant delays in starting or continuing prescribed medication, sometimes well past the time I should have been taking it. As a patient, I should not have to coordinate inventory searches across multiple pharmacies just to receive basic care. What is most frustrating is the lack of ownership and professionalism. There is little communication, no follow-up, and no sense that patient care is a priority. The tone during phone calls often feels dismissive and unhelpful, which only adds to an already stressful situation. After months of dealing with this same issue, I have lost confidence in this pharmacy's ability to reliably support patients. I expect better communication, accountability, and respect -- especially when medications are involved. read more

This is a nice large Publix. I don't get over to this shopping center often but I should go more because it has gems like Bagel King and some nice stores like Bath & Body and Burlington. It was highly convenient today to stop in to this Publix which was well stocked while out visiting other stores. It is a very busy shopping center. read more

This is based on the deli/ hot case section only. Gwen is the absolutely worst . Her attitude is beyond off putting. It's my local Publix that I frequent multiple times a week and spend more money at than I would like to admit. It doesn't matter what time, day of the week or what company you keep , she always has a RBF & is bothered by any task asked of her. This particular instance I'm with my kids and they have to have popcorn chicken any time we go. Btw, This location constantly struggles to have regular popcorn chicken readily available. I finally get my hands on one and I politely ask for a to go side cup for condiments so I can put ketchup in it (I don't want my kids to make a mess everywhere) and it's like she's annoyed. My kids say hi and she has No words at all; just a toss of the cup onto the glass top enclosures. Now you got mama bear mad at this point. I always say please and thank you but it really doesn't matter to her. Shopping is most definitely not a pleasure when she's working. I purposely avoid going too early so I don't have to engage with her. So different from the afternoon crew. read more

I always pass by to make my money order in this audience because I never had problems. Today the customer service lady didn't let me use my Apple-pay as I always do every month. Having this employer a service. He forced me to use my card when I hardly even use it! And if I hadn't had my card at the time, they denied me the service? First off Publix is 20-30% higher on almost every item vs Target or Walmart. That's just an indisputable fact. As for the real reason for my 1 star review, it's the poor selection and poor quality customer service by some employees. This location (Casselberry Commons) has been my local grocery store for over 20 + years, so when I say they have a management problem here, trust me. This is a busy location, so they need management to be on their toes and know how to balance customers needs. If you go between 8pm-10pm it's typical to find 10 employees standing around up near the front of the store while only one checkout lane is open and a line of disgusted customers builds. It's common for this store to be completely sold out during any popular BOGO deals. I don't want to wait in line at the customer service desk to get a rain check. Also make sure you double check the good thru dates on packaged meats. I've found expired food many times in their coolers and freezers. Also make sure you double check produce as many times I've purchased fruit or veggies to find out they were bad in some way once I got home. Don't ever fall in love with anything in the bakery like their orange oatmeal cranberry cookies because they only make one box per day. Cross your fingers you never have an issue or need to buy a lottery ticket. It's common for the customer service desk to have only one person working so you have to wait in line longer than you should. Problems happen at customer service so you need more than one person working to handle the amount of customers needing help. Many times the people they have working are borderline rude as well. Especially a woman named Amanda who I've had several interactions with. She must come to work angry because she's typically unfriendly and has a bossy attitude. These are all examples of poor management. I've been to a lot of Publix locations in my lifetime, and all of them were better than this one. The higher ups at Publix corporate need to consider getting some new management for this location because it's an extremely busy store and these and many other issues need attention. Clearly the management currently running this store is not capable of doing the job at the level it should be. read more

We have been long time customers of Publix, and they have always held a strong reputation for quality. Unfortunately, for some reason beyond my comprehension, they are sliding down hill. After purchasing their produce, in only 2 days, it starts to decay. They discontinue products that are wonderful while keeping products that make no sense. Their prices are outrageously ridiculous. They do offer buy one, get one free deals that are wonderful, but when they Jack the prices on many other products, the customer is being falsely made to think they're getting a deal, when in fact, they are not. I have to say that shopping at Publix is a pleasure (that's their motto) but only because their staff, and regular employees are kind, considerate and helpful. A word to the Publix corporate people. STOP trying to stuff your pockets and think about your customers! You could absolutely have a gold mine if you would just stop raping the people for your benefit! Publix has created a solid reputation by offering incredible customer service, great BOGO (buy one, get one free) deals and we cannot forget their subs, which are affectionately known as "Pub Subs." Coming from New Jersey, a state known for their great subs, in a way it hurts me to state that a supermarket has some of the best subs in the area. But it is also a 100% true statement. Publix subs are very good. My go-to sub is probably their Italian sub, which is truly a tasty offering. I also enjoy their roast beef and cheese sub. I would definitely recommend upgrading it by using Boar's Head meat. It is definitely worth the small upcharge. It is great to see Publix expanding beyond the boundaries of their home state of Florida and spreading throughout the southeast. Not only am I happy about it, but I am confident that the communities that Publix opens a location in are very grateful for a Publix opening by them. I would definitely recommend this particular Publix location or any Publix location and I give it five stars. read more

Publix has got it going on. Mandatory masks, announcements every 15 minutes about social distancing and clearly marked one-way arrows and labels for social distancing. Everyone is friendly. Plexiglass in front of the checkouts. Very well lit and the place smells great.(especially around the bakery) I walk there from my place. Today I was in the mood for some "HEALTHY" ice cream. If you've been to a Publix then you know what this location is like. Friendly employees, organized isles, and fresh produce. Publix has definitely become my go-to for almost all things groceries. Their fried chicken is amazing, in my humble opinion. Their fresh-made salads every day are a keto diet's dream. The fresh fruit and vegetables are always great too. Actually saw dragon fruit here. Dragon Fruit! Never even knew what they looked like until I saw them at this location. The bakery here is always top notch. Not only are they almost always fully stocked with goodies, but they usually have 1 or 2 new and unique items every week. This week, I saw these huge Pumpkin Rolls that looked really tempting. The deals on their cookies are another bonus. I'm a big seafood guy, so I'm always pleased with the options this Publix has at their seafood section. This location in particular always stays stocked with tuna salad, which is one of my favorite things to snack on during the day. Overall, I always have a great experience at Publix. I do love my Publix, but this one seemed a little dirtier when compared to other stores I've visited. It was the end of the day and they still had great buy-one-get-one-free (hello, chocolate candy!) deals, so they're forgiven. Even though employees were cleaning up the store and restocking shelves, they still paused to greet me with a smile and ask if I needed assistance. I found the items that I was looking for as all Publix have similar layouts. Although it was nearing closing time, there were still plenty of check out lanes, which is not usually the case in other grocery stores. This is a normal Publix, like every other I suppose. They're all very uniform, which is helpful when trying to find specific items at a different location. AHH,Publix what is there not to love about this great supermarket? This a brand new store built right next to the old one that was there sense the 80's. This is very nice and very clean just like all Publix and the staff is very friendly and quick to take care of you, also the lay out of this store is great and there is always a friendly emplyoee to help you if you have any questions. You can get fresh shushi here made everyday and a delicious sub or chicken from the deli and dont forget there tea witch is absoluoetly the best. Been coming here for years! Never freaking again. This place is NASTY! They set up a vaccine area, last week saw them give a vaccine to someone without GLOVES! Then-today I went to buy meat and didn't notice until at the registered that it had been opened, could tell it was for awhile because the area was hard. The bagger told me he would have them rewrap it, I said no! Ill take another one. So he comes back with the same one rewrapped and told me it was a different one. I called him out on it, and went back myself to grab another one. As I watched the bagger put that one that was opened back on the shelf. So I spoke with this guy who said he was the lead in the department. I told him that needs to be thrown away how many people had touched that meat, and that it is hard air got to it bacteria could grow. He had the nerve to tell me after it is cooked that all the germs will go away. That meat is no good! Completely Unacceptable! read more

For as long as I can remember, this has been "my" Publix. When I found out late last year that they would be closing and opening a bigger and better Publix in the empty stores next it, I was really excited. This past weekend they had the grand opening and it was just that, bigger and better. They added 7 more aisles, a pharmacy and expanded the deli and bakery. All the employees at this Publix are super nice. I've never had a bad experience and they have gone above and beyond more times then I can count. The best part about this Publix is that it's the only one in the Central Florida area to have a Pix gas station. It's similar to the Wal-Mart ones where you put money on a gift card and the gas is 3 cents cheaper. Also, if you show a receipt for $30 or more, the will give you an additional 3 cents off. read more

This store is absolutely wonderful. Everyone is always so polite and welcoming. Their employees are always looking for ways that they can serve you. I feel like part of the family every time we come to this store. Last week, I was searching for a few items and debating on which product to chose and the store manager, Chip, went above and beyond to help me. Before the remodel i dreaded going to this publix, cause of the long narrow isles. It was really easy to get stuck in a cart traffic jam for hours... But after the remodel.. shopping at this location is a PLEASURE :) The isle's are wide and easy to navigate. Plus they hav greatly increased the quality of the food selection. I love this Publix. During the holidays don't be surprised if you walk in and there is a pianist playing a holiday tune for everyone's enjoyment! I really love their deli and bakery section. They carry all kinds of cheese and meats. I esp. love the low sodium Publix brand or boars head ham and the boars head bologna. The staff is always super friendly! Where do I begin? The deli was an unorganized mess (the lines for deli meats, subs, and hot meals were a jumbled mess). The hot food section had old dried out macaroni with such few food items (all fried chicken variations) I went to get a sub instead. I asked for a meatball sub classified on their menu as a "hot sub". The Publix employee came back with a bag of small frozen meatballs. She put too little red sauce on it and toasted it?! Yes, they toasted my sub with frozen meatballs. Now I assumed they had done this before and it would be warm. Wrong. When I got home the bread was toasted and the cheese was melted but every single little nasty frozen meatball was cold. This is the worst Publix deli I've ever been to by far. Luckily, I called the store and the Deli manager was busy but another manager apologized and recorded the incident and I will receive a free sub. Super busy location that has an expanded ethnic section, I find cool stuff here that isn't at the New Aloma/Oviedo, Small Maitland, or Large Altamonte Springs store. Most likely obvious to everyone, but expect some lines for the deli counter on the weekends at this location. I love Publix. They have great sales and good prices overall when things aren't on sale. Has anyone noticed that they have been really aggressive about the baggers bringing your groceries to the car? I finally let someone help me to my car and asked why they are so pushy about it. Turns out if they get caught not helping someone to the car four times, they get fired. Also, they have buttons that say no tipping is necessary. So instead of fighting them, you should let them help you. read more

I would have to agree with James D.'s review in that I found myself sometimes comparing/wishing that this location had some of the perks of the newer ones around here (University/Goldenrod, Aloma next to the Cinema, and Baldwin Park). I have always been glad that this location has a very hearty Hispanic/Colombian section. I havent found another Publix in the Orlando area that seems to have the same vast variety in Colombian dried goods. Why should you care? Because who knows when you'll decide to venture in to attempting to create Pandebono and suddenly you would need to find Pandebono mix... but you may not feel comfy walking into those little spanish bakeries, well in come Publix to help save the day ;) read more
