What a place FRESH is. I never understood how great a place like FRESH is until going to other…read moregroceries more frequently. They have everything going on here. For starters, there is a Starbucks and a Walgreens pharmacy attached, which seems pretty typical for a grocery store, but then you see they have a gelato shop, a pizzeria, a grill with a patio, a taqueria, and more. Their huge patio space makes it a place that people of Tyler love coming to and eating at. This is like a Whole Foods for Tyler. The options and selections were a lot more vast than I had ever seen. I'm seeing fruit and produce I've never seen before. They have so much wine and beer to choose from. Their bakery has so many insane options. FRESH even has a full playground next door and live music on their patio. It's honestly a really impressive shop. One of the only downsides of FRESH is that you're going to pay that price tag. Everything is always slightly more than elsewhere in town. Its quality is what makes it worth the visit. It feels like one of a kind as a grocery store, which is why it took 10-plus years to open a second location. It's not only a grocery store, it's part of the Tyler community. The staff are always friendly and helpful, and checkout is quick. The surprise bonus is the pho restaurant with a sit up bar inside, which makes this place feel more like a community spot than just a grocery run. Always a great experience. Great parking as well!

I have been shopping at this store since 2008. I…read moreoccasionally buy my groceries at other stores, but this one is close to my home and to save time and gas I buy there. I know there prices are higher than say Walmart but I guess you pay for the convenience of location. The meat is terribly high priced. After they recently remodeled the store I noticed that in the side loading area of the store numerous pallets stacked. It was obvious to the casual observer that they were stacked in accordance with whom ever they were to be returned to with the acceptation of one stack that was a bunch of cheap pine ones, half of which were damaged. I'm helping a friend who wants to build a shelter for the stray dogs she feeds and so I asked the manager of the store if it was possible to get a couple of these pallets. Before I finished my sentence, he interrupted me and started shaking his head no and told me they had to be returned and that " they cost as much as ten or twelve dollars a piece " I didn't expect to get them for nothing. I did expect not to be treated offhandedly. I am retired contractor. I had a successful business because I treated every customer with the respect they deserved for giving me their business. I think that manager needs a refresher course in customer relations.

On multiple occasions now, I've seen people walking non-service pet dogs through the grocery aisles right near food displays. When I finally had enough of it I brought this safety and sanitation concern to the assistant store manager, which he completely brushed it off, saying he's "not law enforcement" and absolutely refused to do anything. Grocery stores are required under state health regulations to keep pets out of food sales areas to maintain sanitation standards. Store managers don't need to be police officers to enforce their own facility's health permit standards. They'll chase you down and scream at you for not wearing a mask but a dog running around the produce section? ... totally fine. Make it make sense. If management won't bother enforcing state health codes for basic food safety, it makes you wonder what other food safety standards are being ignored behind the scenes.
