I had a great experience shopping at Walmart in Tyler TX. The store has an excellent selection of products making it easy to find everything I needed in one trip. The customer service was outstanding with staff members who were friendly helpful and quick to assist when I had questions. I was especially impressed by how clean and well organized the store was. Everything was neatly arranged which made shopping efficient and enjoyable. Overall this location stands out for its great selection top notch service and well maintained environment. I am disabled and I used the online shopping & delivery, July 2, 2026 I placed a order for my monthly grocery to be delivered on July 3rd waited for them all of a sudden it was delayed. 2 Smart shoppers decided the order was to big and they don't get paid enough to deliver that big of a order which is understandable. July 4th I have to go to walmart because the next Smart shopper never showed up with my order once up there at Walmart discovered that the Smart Shopper Stole My order that was worth 683.00 dollars & I had to cancel my order Now I am having to wait 10 or more business days to get my money back to go and buy my groceries. This makes me mad nothing is being done about this I am emotional wrecked, They don't wait to take my money for my order but I have to wait to get it back on their mess ups or their staff stealing and I pay the price not the smart shoppers. This particular store cannot stay in stock like other stores. Walmart in general continues to report record earnings while continuing to gouge the people who pay their salaries. Other stores are holding fast on their prices, but Walmart continues to raise prices without reason or justification. This is the absolute worst store in Tyler. read more

I have been slightly irritated with the insert of sales people bothering you in this store about my electricity provider. Normally, I can avoid these sales people as they are posted in the middle of the main back aisle. I was pleased I didn't have to detour around them today. If I could rate zero stars I would, and I'm not typically that person; As a young retail worker, I normally understand customer issues. However, I called three days ago asking about my order, which was a day late. They finally (today) answer the phone at 8:15 pm. Associate told me to call thirty minutes after original call in order to speak to a manager who was apparently on lunch at the time. I call three more times. This was 9:00-9-45 pm after being assured my order would be there (three days late) by 8:00; Issue with delivery order not arriving for four days. I called five times, each time ringing out to receive an automated voicemail telling me to call back later, no messaging system available. I don't normally blame staff, as I am a retail worker and deal with these types of issues daily. However, we at least TRY to aid the customer and see if their issue can be resolved. I got a voicemail tone and no response all evening. The order was for specific cat food for my ill cat. She died two days into the order. Thanks Walmart, I have a dead cat and no cat food; really helpful. Changing to Aldi and Sprouts, will NEVER shop at this location again. I understand delivery issues but you could have just had someone call me back and explain the problem. Instead, you prefer to ignore customers and spend their money even when they didn't get their original product. Usually if you use self-checkout it is okay since you can avoid talking with the mostly disgruntled and surly employees. I went to return an item to Kelly, the older customer service manager and the machine said to insert my card to get the money refunded onto it (after it had been showing the same message for nearly ten seconds). So, what did I do? You guessed it, I inserted my credit card into the machine, which brought a condescending remark out of Kelly as she said, "You didn't just insert your card into the machine, did you?" (Oh, the horrors!) After confessing that I did, she told me that I wasn't supposed to insert it until the machine told me to (umm, okay...). She then ran her finger over the machine, saying I needed to insert my card, which I had already done. Leaving her finger on the machine, she told me that I had to sign to get my refund onto my card (which I had already deduced when the machine told me in uppercase letters to sign for a refund). Not to be done, as I finished signing, she told me to hit enter, to which I wittily replied that I could read English on my own. She then scowled and handed me my receipt, giving me a perfunctory "Have a nice day". This is part of the reason why I try to avoid speaking with employees at this Walmart... read more

I just had the worst experience that I have EVER had at Walmart. I'm 40 so... not a bad run. I guess? The only checker station open was the "self scan"... cool I get it... it's 11:30pm. However, I was trying to buy a pack of smokes. I asked the attendant nicely if someone could get me a pack. This crazy lady said "no (long pause)". After she saw the "you've gotta be itting me" look on my face, she says "I don't know where the manager is". Note... the look on my face has not changed. "I can't leave my station". I still have the same WTF look on my face. Me... "ummm you can't call someone?". She seriously said "how do you expect me to do that". Me "on the little black phone hanging on you station that you can't leave".....I finally walked to customer service and a VERY NICE lady there was able to help me. Goodness. SMH. Just glad my son was not with me because he would have been absolutely mortified. Lol read more

Pickup had me waiting over 30 mins when it said my order was ready and I sat outside. Overbooking at its finest

I have never used a self-checkout lane. I believe they replace Local jobs some cannot get anywhere else. This One-man stand of mine has been going on half my life at the expense of significant chunks of my time, over 20 years, perhaps a few hundred hours? But it's getting harder since I moved to Tyler. I've been here 7 months, and I work at night so I shop at night. I have had to leave a basket full of items at the checkout four times between this store and the Walmart on Troop when I was refused a live checker after politely explaining I do not believe in self checkouts. This store is perhaps the most disappointing yet because it feels like no one cares. I recommend the Walmart on 31. I have to wait a few minutes sometimes (which is no problem), but someone will always check me out. read more

Am not a big Wal-Mart shopper because of the employees, and the store is very clean i must say but like always Wal-Mart customer service can be a lot better if I may say so. 5/14/20 - I when to the South Broadway Walmart in Tyler, TX this morning to pick up a few items. I have still be staying home and was pretty unsure about going out. I was so impressed on how organized this store was for following the recommended guidelines for the Coronavirus. I took all of my recommended safety procedures as well (including wearing a mask and gloves.) Thank you, Walmart, for making me feel as safe as possible. P.S. I shop at this Walmart often, mostly out of convenience. I'm writing this review as I stand in one of only two lines that are open (besides the self check-out lanes). It's Sunday night at 8:30pm. It is ridiculous to have only two cashiers working, and this is not the first time it has been like this. I think Walmart can do better!! read more

This place is a necessary evil for my budget but they gat an F for not enough cash registers open on a Sunday. On the non grocery side, only the register with cigarettes and one express lane were open. All other lanes were 3 and 4 customers deep . Sundays are crazy busy you would think they would know better. read more

This Walmart is not bad for a Supercenter. They at least have more selections that some of the Neighborhood Markets don't have. I went here to get some groceries, after I also visited the nearby Target. I definitely prefer the prices & selection of Walmart to Target any day. I know people who work here and the managers don't give a shit about the employees. Apparently, there is a wrong way to push carts according to the asset protection old fart. The CSM tends to be disrespectful to customers telling them they'll get an employee fired for standing near them while talking to another customer. I have personally been asked, more like TOLD, to walk away from an employee because I was "keeping them from doing their job" when in all actuality I was talking to someone else and happen to let said employee know when someone was trying to get their attention. I was so furious with that CSM I was almost in tears and I hadn't even done my shopping. I was then informed by another manager, above said CSM, that she had no authority to tell me I had to leave my place of conversation regardless if I would've been talking to that employee. This place has gotten so ridiculous with who they're allowing to have some authority because they can answer what is expected on a test. Obviously, they know the answers the test expects but can't actually see it through. This Wal-Mart just about needs a whole new management crew because the majority of these people don't have an idea of decent customer service is. I understand the need for money but you have to do you're job properly and not just be a pain to the customers. If only they cared about our opinions on how to have a better Wal-Mart. read more

Very understaffed, only 2 checkers open around busy time. Reason they gave for not having more is that the other three are out pushing carts. After finally waiting about 10 minutes in their self check out I finally got out, I went and asked one of the cashiers why they had to be outside instead of doing their job and they said that their management told them that they have to because they only have 1 cart associate hired and haven't hired any for months and that this is a every day thing now. One of the guys said that they or their automotive don't even get water bottles during mid-day heat when it's burning up because their store manager wouldn't approve it until it's 100° outside. Whenever I have seen the "manager" she's usually prancing around in high heels smiling at people who don't even look like they want to talk.. all in all, super bad walmart, and I've been wanting to do a review on this place for along time hoping that maybe it would get better. But after 10 years of shopping here it's just going down the drain.. 0/10 don't shop here read more

Well, like another said, this is Walmart. As much as I hate shopping here, the prices are good for what I need based on the competition. This store stays clean for the most part. However, I can't stand how they can't keep high demand goods in stock. I can't tell you how many times I've gone to get basic things and they're out of stock, sometimes for weeks on end. I'm still waiting on them to restock my favorite red ELF lipstick. And don't get me started on the lack of open registers; yeah, let's build 30 registers but only keep 3 open. Gene the door man asked for my receipt while I was exiting because I had unbagged items, a box of diapers, a box of wipeys, toilet paper, and paper towels. I could not find my receipt so I went to walk out, he physyically detained me and my purchases until I threatened to call the cops on him then he let go and I left the store. I then loaded my purchases in my trunk and looked for my receipt. I found it in my purse and then went back in and asked to talk to his managers. he pointed in the direction of 2 people, a man and a woman, ordering food in the subway, wearing plain cloths. they checked my receipt and gave it back and the man apologized but the woman told me that Gene had the right to detain me, which I know I can only be detained if they have prove that I shoplifted, not because I wouldn't show my receipt and a doorman is not allowed to detain someone. I was not being unruly or raising my voice at him until he detained me and MY property that I paid for and I told him he is not allowed to hold me for not showing my receipt. read more

Worst Wal-Mart ever!! If i could do a -5 I would definitely rate that!! Went today looking for a teddy bear. Found one and the price displayed was $9.99. When we were checking out it rang up $39.99, the cashier (which was very nice and respectful)let a manager(which was rude know, she (manager) called on the radio to check the price. While that was going on she disappeared (I guess to alert them to change the price) Then when she came back she said they were split price and I insisted why were they in the $9.99? She told me to follow her to double check and to my surprise they had changed the price to $40. To which when we first saw them, there was no $40 price near or even beside or "split" price. I didn't mind paying the $40 but what pissed me off is that they made it seem like if I had switched things around!! I don't like surprises when it come to my money specially of it's more to pay! Oh boy where do I start? Not so long ago (couple days ago), I bought the Sims 4 DLC, but they didn't tell me that it have a code add on. I thought it has a disk cuzz I was used to playing Sims on disk. But the 2 workers at electronics didn't know that. Then I went up to customer service but they won't gimme my money back. We ask a manager but she/he wouldn't gimme my money back. She/he was being an a-hole (probably becuzz they think so highly of their business) but my mom said if they don't gimme my money back, she won't step a single foot back to Walmart...again!
