This location USED TO BE amazing with friendly staff, although they were always short staffed - they always greeted me with a smile and an offer to assist. The shelves USED TO BE fully stocked and items were where they belonged and clearly marked so you knew what you would be charged.
EVERYTHING CHANGED about 4 months ago. The staff is rude and unhelpful - I have seen the cashier arguing with a customer over the fact that the price stamped on the item was wrong and refusing to sell it as marked (granted the price was reduced due to the expiration date being 2016 and it was in the top bin directly across from the register which was marked an additional 50% off) ---yes - this was only weeks ago!
The area manager is rude and unprofessional, they have never respond to concerns or feedback although they ask you to take the survey on every visit. Twice I saw the area manager (may be district manager, but I am hoping based on professionalism she is not that high up the management chain.) screaming at her employees in the back of the store, I am assuming out of the camera shot - threatening their jobs. At one point her conversation even went as far as to say she would replace them with "her people." My guess is that is why the previous manager and assistant manager are no longer at this store. I have to say: There is no way I would ever work in that type of a hostile work environment.
Now - they have determined that the best method to make the check out effective is to place a table across the end of the aisles lining up to the registers. I hope there is never an emergency evacuation needed.
If senior management cares - please do something about this location. Make the staff to put stuff on the shelves instead of leaving it stacked in the aisles, order enough product to make it through the weekend, maybe make the investment in a broom, mop, and dustpan.
A lot of folks in the Nolanville area rely on it for daily basics and bring back some smiles to your employees. . read more
