My usual location is Goss Avenue in Louisville, because that's the one that's closest to my house, and I love it! But, recently while having lunch in the area with a friend I decided to run into this Kroger to grab a few items, and y'all! I was blown away! I know, I know.. it's a Kroger. But, I'm a huge food nerd and the grocery is one of my happy places! And this location is super happy! It's really large, the layout is fantastic, they have everything, it's super clean... it was just wonderful! This afternoon, however, is the second time I've had this exact situation occur, and I'm not laughing. They have instituted a liquor store inside the store. I can list on ten fingers why this is not a good idea in my book, but I'm not making their decisions. My number one reason is the reason for my bad reviews. I would give the clerk in the department five stars, but this is not about anything that happened IN the liquor department. She was friendly and efficient, and handed us bright yellow PAID stickers, which we affixed top center on each box. Rather, it's what happened when I attempted to leave the store. The cart stopped hard and fast on the exit door's threshold. When I say "hard and fast", I mean whiplash-hard. It practically pulls an unsuspecting person backward. On top of that, it is embarrassing. I wouldn't steal a loose grape in the bin, but I was made to look like a felon. I went back in, but couldn't find the manager, so I called the store (hands-free) from my car. Another irritation - they build, don't they, when you're already aggravated? - I was on hold for twelve minutes. Finally spoke to the store manager, who did apologize, but his solution was not the greatest. Why should I have to be in charge of exiting the store without anti-theft measures ruining an otherwise wonderful day? It's not the best, but it is a solution: from now on if I return, I must stop at any cash register and ask the clerk to turn off the brake, which is activated automatically at the exit if you don't stop at a register before you leave. Heed my warning review to avoid possible injury if you find yourself just popping in for a bottle of something.

It was well organized and maintained. I tend to only go to Walmart when I'm looking for something specific, so not alot of site seeing for me. I like to get in and get out. Even though it wasn't busy, they still had the famous long lines you always find at a Walmart. I was happy when an employee approached me and asked if he could check me out since I was carrying my few items and paying with a card. Thanks to his nifty hand held scanner, I had paid and was out of there in record time. I will probably be back on my next Walmart trip.

I notice their fuel price was 10 cents higher than the nearby Circle K, but still wanted to use fuel points. With being on the road all day my windshield was destroyed and needed a wash. Every single pump station had a bone dry wash, no towels either. I questioned the attendant who was like not my fault and tried to say this was just today. Obvious not true. She had plenty of attitude and offered no help other than go into the store to lodge your complaint. NOPE! I will just write a review with many hours to go to my destination. The pump worked fine, but disappointed at the up charge on fuel. I won't have to worry about ever coming back. 1.5 rounding down. Avoid!

The bigger stores seem to get bogged down and have cancelled my orders, but this location always comes through. Parking can sometimes be a pain when going into the store, but that's mainly due to the other drivers speeding through the parking lot aisles. Most shelves have been fully stocked with whatever I've needed for my weekly pantry items. I've also been able to hurry in and out when I'm in a time crunch to grab a last-minute birthday card and flowers with a great selection. Staff have also always been friendly and helpful, especially the pickup order staff who always ask if I have coupons and are careful with flowers, bread, eggs, etc. Very much appreciated!
