What??!! They repeated it twice because I was looking at them like they were from Mars. I told them I was Jewish and go to synagogue. They asked me AGAIN!! I politely said, "leave me alone." They call themselves the "pros in produce" yet every single time I go the produce is rotten. Now since after covid if you are getting a few things and don't need an entire cart, I hope you are talented enough to balance everything cause there are no such thing as shopping baskets anymore. Why you ask? Well simple everyone else is punished for others who took baskets when acme no longer offered bags due to the law in nj. They won't even offer you paper bags all the while putting more self check outs in taking real people who could check out but paying them to stand there and stare at their phone instead while you do their job after you may have possibly worked all day. We laugh every time and say I want their job! The other night, after working all day and coming home from a long few mile walk we stopped in to get some turkey from the deli for work the next day. I stood there for nearly 40 minutes watching someone who clearly is not qualified to handle the position take a half hour to slice someone's meats. No, not exaggerating.. I actually counted the people behind me waiting to be served there were 8 other people waiting, one person who can't do the position and again we said where is the manager?! any other store would have saw the amount of customers waiting and would've helped. I was tired I was hungry I just wanted to go home I never went to a store that literally has a new story of frustration each and every time I go. I never been to a store that almost makes you cry out of frustration. I get mad at myself every single time I go there cause it's close by.. just go somewhere else.

One person was in front of me at the deli. They are not efficient or productive. I ordered and the worker told me he would work on my order. I said great, I'll go get bread. I left for about 15-20 minutes. I returned and my order was still not done. However another gentleman was in line and they were fulfilling his order. They had not begun my order or even thought of it. In the meantime the other gentleman was in and out. They really need to improve their work flow and productivity. They did apologize but the interaction had so many nuances about race and class. All that to say, I will never return. I am good because I can spend my money anywhere and it will not be there.

Hours listed to open till 10' PM and another Bjs gas station I was at in Delaware was open until 9 PM. Another visit here may be different but this was disappointing. Maybe they ran out of gas or should've said that even if not true. For all I know, they could've pushed a button to accidentally shut down the pumps early and turning them back on takes up too much energy or could screw up the system. Looks like you need a professional to turn the pumps on properly and I would not expect a gas attendant to have this kind of knowledge.

Dry goods down the initial aisle followed by produce. Sauces, chips and canned stuff in the next aisle, cleaning and the "aisle of awesomeness" full of random stuff, and then frozen and drinks. Easy and consistent. ALDI requires a 25 cent deposit for a shopping cart which you will get back when you return it. And they do not provide free bags for your groceries (and that's a regular thing in New Jersey anyway) so remember to bring your reusable bag or you can take one of their cardboard boxes to carry. It is rare that I have any trouble with any ALDI stuff. Most of it is their own brand and it's good quality at low prices. Better quality and lower prices than Walmart and a better shopping experience, but they don't have absolutely everything. You may have to fill in the rest of your shop elsewhere. The veggies are imported from the Amish. It's hard to find but once you know it, you'll keep going back like me.
