Similarly, the cashier never smiled, did not greet us, did not inquire if we found everything we were looking for, nor thank us. The store in general was clean and well maintained. Most items were well stocked and shelf labels were present. We were happy with the overall selections and price points were as expected.

Standard Kroger in most ways with the exception of the service, which was less than stellar when you actually receive it. I only had a few items, so I was looking for a quick checkout, especially since it wasn't that busy, but that isn't how it really happened. The cashiers that were on duty were not paying attention and wondered off twice while I was waiting to get a register and actually check out. They wondered down a few lanes to chat with another cashier and during this chat multiple people needed and had to wait for assistance. The store itself was decently stocked, clear of debris and clean for the most part, even the exterior was well kept. I am never in this area, but on the occasion that I do pass through...I will probably just wait to hit another spot.

The understaffing issue at the checkout lines is one or two of some ten checkout counters open during the day with usually no bagger, while forcing most customers to use the self check out allowing Kroger to save a few dimes by hiring less people. The self check out line is often manned by someone who is disabled. This brilliant self check out concept has led to rampant theft, which I have witnessed a couple of times. So, Kroger has taken to hiring a burly armed guard near the exit who checks customers' receipts. So, because of this company's extraordinary greed, we have a grocery store that treats all its customers with suspicion. Can this place get any worse? Maybe.
