We needed fishing licenses, and it was a fairly quick and easy process. It took a minute to get someone to help us. It seemed like each employee was responsible for multiple departments at one time. We bought food, and it was a little higher priced than in Oklahoma City. We found most of what we needed. The produce was hit or miss on freshness, but everything else seemed okay.

I drove those extra miles to get a Petey's Bing, which is a caffeinated beverage that comes in four flavors. They only had one flavor, but good enough. The employee who helped me was very friendly and said he bought Petey's Bing by the case. He also told me that another store across town has three of the four flavors. Pretty cool considering it's a competitor. I'm giving four stars instead of five because the cashier wasn't friendly at all. It seemed obvious she didn't like out-of-towners playing at the casino. But the fried chicken was good. This is not my most interesting review, but I'm writing it between hands while playing in a poker event. As a side note, the people in this area walk slower than anywhere I have ever seen. In my mind, I want to knock them over, but in real life, I offer a friendly smile. People are rarely as they seem.

However, when I walked up to the register, there was a customer who kept staring at me. I had just come from the gym, including a run, so I was wearing gym clothes and sweaty. The look he gave me wasn't friendly. It said, "You not from around here, boy!" This was a heavy fellow wearing hunting clothes and a tattoo on his neck. I said, "How's it going?" He just nodded and walked out with his items. I tried to joke about this with cashier, but she just stared at me. Not a bad stare, just blank. The four stars has nothing to do with the customer but the potential need for power-washing.

While visiting Davis and looking for a place to eat dinner, we passed this place. I at first…read morethought it was a Walmart neighborhood market, so I was surprised when I saw DG Market...what?!! We made it a point to come back today to check it out. First, I will say it was one of the cleanest DG's I've been to. There were a few staff members to assist if needed, and this is not normally the case. Just as it's name implies, it's also a grocery, having the standard dry goods, dairy, and microwave items that DG has, but incorporating meats and produce as well. Of course you'll pay for the convenience as I noticed ground beef was $6.50 per pound, where Walmart is currently like $3.87 per pound for the same type. All in all, I would definitely shop in there if I lived here as it was clean, convenient, and stocked well.
