They also have helium balloons, and everything is $1 or less. The aisle are wide, the products are mostly well-stocked, and the store has a large parking lot. Dollar Tree employees are about as nice as you can expect. Even with signs that they are hiring, the store was well-staffed today, and when the line got long, an employee opened another register so we didn't have to wait.

I'm not sure how they sold merchandise so cheap for so long. In the 1990s, when I first noticed prices in stores, everything was $1. The pricing lasted longer than I expected, and most $1.25 items are still a great value. Dollar Tree is relatively clean, and you can select from tons of seasonal and holiday items. The Easter items are here, along with lots of Spring/Summer toys to keep the kids busy. The movie-theatre sized boxes of candy are a bargain, and Dollar Tree has the best candy selection in town. Greeting cards are still $1 and some are even 2/$1. The parking lot is large, and it's easy to get in and out at the stoplight.

The floor is like a warehouse, and the store is poorly lit. It was almost empty on a Saturday afternoon. The merchandise is your typical dollar store, so I picked up my items (once I found them). I asked if the store was remodeling since so many items were out of place. The staff member said he was from another store and didn't know. With so many commuters from Ravenel/Hollywood/Meggett coming in/out of Charleston each day and neighborhoods on Bees Ferry Rd, this is a great location for a Dollar Store, but so disorganized that I will probably skip it next time.

If you're curious about an item, put it in your cart and take it to the designated counter before checkout to have them open everything for you. From there you can decide if you'd like to go ahead and purchase the item or pass. (These directions are played continuously throughout the store in English and Spanish. There is a giant sign out from that states this AND signs inside.) Be prepared to spend an hour or more in here to dig through everything.
