Several of the same people have been working there since then. Providing long-term jobs to a small community is so incredibly crucial in America these days I just cannot state how important. In all of my years shopping there I have never been treated rude. Never. Quite the opposite actually. It is small-town friendly. They act like they have known you your whole life actually. The prices are right down the middle for a small town store. Even contractors shop there, so expensive is a ridiculous statement. They are not expensive, and especially not even close to double. By the time you drive to Huntsville, you have paid more - due to fuel cost. The furniture collection is so vast and nice for a small-town store it is actually baffling. We drove all the way to Houston (90 miles) looking for home furniture a year or so ago, and ended up purchasing our furniture here also. The prices were actually better than the big-barn discount stores we looked at. Of course you have to speak with a sales person to find out that the listed price on the furniture may not be what you end up paying. And the larger your purchase the lower the price plus FAST free delivery is what we got. I am baffled that this store would ever receive a bad review. One cannot believe everything one reads - well, most people know that anyway. SO! - Wonderful store, wonderful people, decent price scale. Go see for yourself! And yes it sounds like it, but no, I have absolutely nothing to do with this store. The family are not our close friends or anything like that, I am just a shopper. That's all. This is just my honest opinion - and I thought it was important after reading that last review - to spend some time to say how wrong and mean the other reviewer was. Hmmm. Maybe we really know now who the rude person is!

The owner and wife are the rudest people I have met in a long time. And their prices are almost…read moredouble what other hardware stores charge. The only reason they are in business is that they are in a small town with no other hardware stores. Do they have a fair amount of what you might need? Yes they do. But I urge you to go to Huntsville and buy from ACE, who guarantee their stuff. Or go to Home Depot. These people are so incredibly rude that they should NOT be rewarded with your business and your money. Avoid them.

My elderly mother lost her phone there about a month ago and this girl not only brought it to the back and called my sister from it, but she charged my mothers phone for her!! Like whaaaa whose that nice? I wish I could remember her name, its something like Carla I think, or maybe not. Idk how gas stations work but please give her a raise- her hospitality is off the charts and for a gas station? Near Houston? I mean shes awesome, way too cool for you guys. Be more grateful for her because not just anyone would do that for a customer. Most people would pocket the phone or sell it. She didn't, if that girl is reading this thank you so much! I thank god for you. And please take care.

This store is older, and dated but it still gets 5*s. It's run by two little Indian guys that are just about the most friendly guys you could ever ask to meet. It's located right across from the towns middle school, and they know every kids name in town.. they also know every regular customers name. This isn't my primary residence so I just come in on occasion, but both still call me by name when they see me. They have a bigger selection of candy and junk food than you could possibly imagine (probably because they are across from a school). It's well lit at night and safe, mostly because it's a mile from the courthouse but also because the place is always full of locals. This is like going back 30 years or so, they do business on a handshake and customers aren't in a hurry to leave. This is not an updated, or new store. It's old, I'll admit. Doesn't matter, all the locals love it and so do I!!!

You know how sometimes antique shops smell of moth balls and are so cluttered you feel instantly overwhelmed? This wasn't like that all! And the other vintage items were wonderful and just waiting for a collector to pick them up! Super pleased. Would visit again.

UNSAFE! We are currently in the midst of a raging pandemic. It is hitting rural areas and…read moreresidents especially hard right now. I went into this store today and 1) was surprised that there was no signage anywhere asking customers to wear a mask or social distance, 2) workers in the store were not wearing masks, and 3) other shoppers in the store, approx. 10, were not wearing masks. It is extremely irresponsible and inconsiderate to not mandate masks and social distancing at this time. I felt very unsafe and unprotected in this store and I exited immediately when an entire group of shoppers came in the store unmasked. Shop here at your own health risk.
