For 9 months, I had to put up my department manager (front end)' obsession on perfection and her "friendliness" policies when she wasn't friendly herself to her employees. Even on small slip ups, she immediately thinks I'm unfit when the other managers said otherwise. I already attempted to get the HR involved but it was futile. I also found out that she spread false rumors that I was being lazy to the GM that he believed her and my reputation was irreversible. She harassed me this much that she did all of that in the same time. I was a small fish to them. While some of my other coworkers moved up, I was stuck in the bottom. Some of my coworkers EVEN my supervisors are facing this kind of problem. This put me in distraught that I had intense negative thoughts and that was when enough was enough. Michelle, you have destroyed my mental health and I will never forget this horrible experience. You too, Cynthia you disrespected me for the last time. I've been to many Kroger over the years and this one was generally unimpressive. Small selection of produce. Prices were okay (with a Kroger card). Almost no clearance items to be had. (I have odd priorities). Overall it felt like the Kroger I went to as a child... it has probably been here for 20+ years and never updated. read more

I stop shopping at Wally World, because it was never stocked, Been shopping at Krogers Huntsville, this morning it was EMPTY!! all the meat cases were EMPTY!! Store been open for 2 1/2 hours and cases were still EMPTY!! Lucky was have a new HEB been built and will be open soon!! read more

Saturday night we were at Kroger's in Huntsville, TX. This is about an employee called 'Softie'. He is slim w/ a blondish/brown ponytail. I was in line to pay for (5) cases of bottled water, allotted for 'Saturday only'. 'Softie' approached me & said 2 things that troubled us. They were: --I could NOT buy 5 as advertised because it was a 'day only' special & ---if I wanted 5, I could buy 2 now & have someone else come back in & get the rest. When I pointed out the 5 had to be purchased on one transaction & that was NOT a solution, 'Softie' smiled & nodded. He took 2 cases out of my cart & walked away. There were no signs indicating the change from 5 to a lesser amount. Reviewing the promos under Kroger's digital coupons, we did not see DAY TIME purchase only. Huntsville is a town where people are employed on different shifts, 24 hours/day. If Kroger's is going to limit night purchases, it seems unfair. read more

I'm going to start by saying that I've never lived in a town with a Kroger, so I don't have a lot to compare it to besides the HEB here. It was a toss up on which to review first, and I'm not in a hateful mood, so I'm going to pick Kroger. If you get a Kroger's card, you're good, and it's pretty cheap as long as you pay attention to what's on sale. As long as you're a smart shopper, it's the best place in Huntsville in my opinion. read more

What is it with this town being stuck in 1981? Kroger's is an okay grocery store, but you have to use the card for the best price and that price may or may not even be close to the best in town. It is pure luck of the draw. As far as the physical store is concerned, you know what you're going to get because it looks the same and is laid out in exactly the same way it has been for the last thirty years- right down to the beige walls and plastic wood-grain veneer checkout stands. Combined with the fact that they turn off the display lights in the refrigerated section well before they close (to save money?), shopping there becomes a very strange experience. The other strange thing they do is rope off the pharmacy in the evening which forces every customer to have walk all the way across the store (past the check out lines, past the customer service booth, past the lottery and coin machines, past the shopping carts) to begin to shop, even if what you wanted is right inside the door in the OTC drugs on the other side of the rope. It is truly a bizarre customer experience, being herded past the items you need, to the the other side of a store that looks like it is stuck in a different time, only to discover that the refrigerator cases look as if they closed before the rest of the store. If you look for surreality in your shopping experience, Huntsville Kroger's might be the place for you. I, on the other hand, look forward to the day HEB builds a 'real' store in this town. read more

Beautiful new store! It's so convenient and well stocked. We have been waiting a long time for this and it's finally here! A decent grocery store in Huntsville. I have gone in at peak hours and I have never had to wait in line. Employees are friendly and helpful. I love the Starbucks and the fact that the store came with a gas station in front. Every week, I buy groceries and use the points earned when I fill up my car. One of the many reasons I didn't like to shop at the old Kroger was the dangerous parking lot. There was no clear path and people were coming and going in all directions. This parking lot is much safer and directs traffic to flow better. So glad to have the store so close! read more

Went to Kroger to shop early this morning and apparently the refrigerated section at the back of the store is not cooling properly!! They have plastic sheeting covering all of the open dairy area in back middle and to the right. Cheese, yogurt, Pudding, egg area, etc. I will not be purchasing anything from that area for about 2 weeks until food is sold n restocked. (That cooler area has been leaking water on the floor back there for quite some time.) Headed to HEB. read more

I had the worst experience I have ever had in my life. The experience I had was they do not know how to treat customers and the store manager is a huge waste of time. She didn't even acknowledge herself as the manager nor did she take control of the situation. The sad part was that the customer behind me came to my vehicle in the parking lot to apologize to me for my experience. Wow is all I can say!! read more

I have had two bad experiences with the Huntsville Kroger Pharmacy. It takes over an hour to get to the store one way so basically 2 hours turn around to go to the pharmacy. I dropped off my prescription at the pharmacy and told him I had to wait because I live an hour away they said it would take one hour for them to fill my prescription. After the hour I went back to the counter to pick up my medication that I desperately needed and they said they could not fill it because they had to talk with my doctor about the prescription. This is the second time they did this knowing that I had to drive back an hour without my medication. The managers are doing a terrible job and have no compassion for their customers. Oh yeah, the person in front of me had the exact same problem. He was as happy as I was. Smh. Told them to take my info out of computer because I will no longer be doing business with them read more

I am tickled about the new store. It was simply great for the first week. Lots of new products which is great... Would be better if the staff were trained in what they were doing and knew about the products they were selling.. Not to mention. The cashiers are some of the rudest cashiers I have ever come across. For the last few months it has increasingly gotten worse. REAL disappointed with the floral dept staff along with the cheese counter the girls act as if they cant be bothered with questions and don't know the products. The fact that the floral department wants to charge outrageous to assist with an arrangement if you buy all the products there.. Chose to put everything back. the arrangement with all the products that I bought would have been 75 bucks.. they wanted to charge me an additional 30 bucks to help me put it together.. NO THANKS KROGER... I will just buy somewhere else.. While I am mentioning everything lets mention the sackers.. they are AWFUL.. who puts 3 2 liters in one plastic bag and then gets upset when you ask them to double sack it.. Please Kroger.. give your employees some training in customer service and training in their positions.. thank you read more

Visited the new location the other day and it is absolutely great. The staff is always so friendly and willing to help and this new store has a great selection. This will be my go to spot for groceries from now on for sure! read more

I enjoy this store and shop here a lot. It is about 30 miles from where I live so I try and get everything I need when I am there. Usually they have everything I want. Only the Deli is lacking in service. I have gone there each time I'm in the store. I pick out what I want and "wait" to be waited on. Each time I wait for the employees who see me, to acknowledge me. Nope! I get annoyed at waiting so long and I leave. Only one time have I been waited on. I pay for my groceries, leave Kroger, go to Brookshire Bros and buy what I want from the Deli. Hopefully this will be corrected. Kroger is a very nice store and have a great selection. read more

Was so excited for a fresh new grocery store in huntsville. While the store has lots to offer, they are always out of a few key items that I like to have. Makes it frustrating yet again for a good opportunity to have a nice place to shop. Way to go Huntsville! read more

I love Kroger but I hate their bakery department. I ordered a specialty cake for my friend and moms surprise party 2 weeks in advance!! And on the day of pick up I called to see if it was ready, come to find out they never made it and completely lost my order! I then spent 30 minutes on the phone with a worker in the dept asking me if I wanted to order a new one and have her make it, but then she told me "I don't know how to decorate I'm not a decorator" I get that not all bakers are decorators but there were no decorators in the store at all that day. At this point I'm already livid at the whole situation so I told her very nicely "no it's fine I'm just going to come up there" when I got there I didn't even want to buy a cake from them anymore but I had no other choice so I just picked up a boring pre made one and went on with my day. I have never been so disappointed by Kroger like I was that day. I would rate 1 star just for the bakery, but for thisKroger as a whole I give it a 4 read more
