This is a shiny new Shell in Navasota which is well-maintained and nice but right across the street is a Stripes with good tacos, and Barbie famously showing off herself, so I prefer the Stripes. The gas is usually either the same price or just a couple of cents difference.

I bought a sandwich and some water and got out of there. I will never return. In fairness to them, the place was surprisingly clean, well organized, seemed well managed. The staff seemed nice enough - just working hard to ring up all the people buying their tchotchkes.

Those nuggets reminded me a lot like Crunch n Munch but with a horrible aftertaste even their weak "coffee" couldn't wash away. It's been years since we've been back so I don't know if it's still true but it seemed to me those times that the greater portion of their branded merchandise and other "Texas" souvenirs were made in China. Unfortunately I had a pricing issue that required me to go to customer service. They were able to quickly resolve and send me on my way though. They were baked or packaged on 02/09 and end of life is 02/12/2026. There are 6 of them in the container that go bad tomorrow. Why would they even sell them at full price? I will throw most of them away tomorrow night and never be able to order them again. My other complaint is that if I order 6 cans of dog food, it is because I need 6 cans, not 4. Three dogs equals 6 cans. If you can't match the order, then explain that you don't have that much. I love the service. The people are fantastic. They just need to work on a lot of small issues.
