I drove 30+ minutes late at night to pick up things for a special breakfast. Website said store was open till midnight each day. Arrived 11:02pm. Store was closed. Sign on door says store is open 7-11 each day, different from website. Called store (confirmed it was right one) to find out what was going on and which was right, or if store was open but I just failed to get in for some reason. Asked automated system for hours. It said 7-10 each day. So now we have three different sets of hours. While doing this, two other cars, unrelated to each other, pulled up and people tried and failed to enter the store. You web site and phone system both have different store hours listed than the ones listed on the door. So three sets of hours and no idea what's right. You are doing a disservice to your customers. I wasted more than an hour of my time and, more importantly, don't have what I need for a special breakfast. How many people show up each night thinking you are open? How long has this been incorrect? When will it be fixed. We do like the store, but in this day and age of technology, there is no excuse for publishing three sets of hours, two of which are incorrect and leave people sitting in your parking lot late at night after having driven far from home.

The six of us stayed about an hour and we picked about 8lbs. worth. Came home and had a great blueberry pancake breakfast using some fresh berries. The owner is a wonderful lady and we spent some time chatting about the area and things to do. She introduced us to her emu and was a very gracious hostess. Highly recommend a stop here if you are nearby during berry season!

I really enjoy shopping in the Garden Center and Hardware/Home sections, too. This store has a lot of home repair and finishing items as there is not really a hardware store (Lowe's) in town. Holiday section is smaller than most but it still has plenty to choose from. There is a Pharmacy and Bakery in this store, too. This store may not have the exact brand you are looking for but there is always an Equate version. Definitely worth the drive because I never leave stressed out!

The level of customer service really stands out both friendly & knowledgeable. Electronics gave me some great recommendations last time I asked about what type of glue would be best for computer which I took inside to show. She'd never seen that issue but determined it was not properly glued & knew that this location didn't carry Loctite glass glue but they did carry at Martinsville VA 24 miles & can also order online. Electronics also gave me good info about computers & printers. No matter what area of store I find they are very helpful & knowledgeable at this store. Also, there are really good markdowns on items at this location which I've found in freezer & other areas of store (usually not on the markdown rack) but other areas I've been able to fill my freezer for super cheap. One time for $32 & another for $74 (in a new & bigger frig). Was told that this store cycles through inventory more to find what's best selling since it's smaller not a Supercenter. No matter what day or time I've gone there parking lot can look full but is never overcrowded or backed up with lines. Both the dairy & freezer are in good working order which is a problem with Lowes food as I've found dairy items like cheese are not even cold & was told by employee due to where the heater is situated so even though it can register temperature the product isn't at temp. My neighbor which works there said freezer is also a problem. Walmart have never had any issues with dairy or freezer items. They are going through a remodel hiring some more people for remodel. Would be great if it was a supercenter or had even more items given this is only big box store for county.

Finding them neither with the vegetables or with the alternative milks or with the coffee-based mixed drinks, I assumed they didn't have any of this sort of item, only to find a small freestanding cooler that did have some, but not quite the price or selection that I was hoping after all that searching. Similarly, some elements of the fruit and vegetable section didn't quite have everything I was hoping for. This store also had a longer wait in line than I would have expected despite three registers running. There were still some good quality food items to be had, but trying to shop comprehensively at Fresh Market often leaves me a bit frustrated.

Diamond Hill General has a deli inside with a pretty decent menu. They also have fresh salads made. They feature a small sitting area inside and a decent sized outdoor seating area. You have to order at the cash register and then find a seat. Diamond Hill has a couple beers, local, on tap and there are several domestics you can order in the bottle. There is a large wine selection and they have a small cigar bar. The service when we first arrived was pretty terrible. We ordered two hotdogs and two beers and it took 45 minutes to get them to us. There was a second couple sitting beside us and they explained this was the norm and hoped we got our order because they received their order, ate and left before we even got our beer. Overall this is a local spot that people and outsiders wouldn't know it was there unless a local took them. They do have gas and limited groceries as well.
