I hit this one up in Petersburg right before Christmas. I got a case of water for a dollar. This is a big deal around Fort Lee because the tap tastes like swamp water (horrible!). I bought several cases of the cheap water. I always look through the book section. They have tons of books for children, but they also had a NYT's best seller by Geneen Roth for $1 and the book isn't all THAT old! I bought a few cheap, cute greeting cards as well. Of note, you can grab your THC test kit, pregnancy test, and urinary tract test strips quickly as they are all placed right together. What a steal at $3 for all 3! :)

Out of nowhere, the store manager decided to loudly ask my child, where he put the cards that were previously in his basket. She bypassed me entirely and chose to question a kid out loud, instantly creating a scene and implying, right in front of other customers that my child was shoplifting. I immediately intervened and pointed out that the cards were already right there on the conveyor belt, waiting to be paid for. Instead of apologizing for her massive oversight, she deflected and started making condescending remarks about "not knowing what the hype was" and asking what kids even do with them. When my husband rightfully stepped in and asked why she was continuing to press the issue after being proven wrong, she threw a temper tantrum. She completely escalated the situation, canceled our transaction, and told us to leave before she called the police. When I told her to go ahead and call them, since we had done absolutely nothing wrong, she ignored us and refused to do so, knowing she was entirely in the wrong. This woman has absolutely zero management skills and no business working in customer service. To falsely accuse a family, and threaten us in front of our children is unacceptable. We will never spend another dime here, and corporate will absolutely be hearing about this.

There's a blonde lady that is usually the cashier every time I come in. She always says, "God bless!" when people leave. I thought that was pretty awesome! There is a variety of religions/beliefs here. I'm very open minded when it comes to beliefs, and it doesn't bother me when someone tells others to be blessed by God. WHAT BOTHERS ME IS RACISM!!! Yesterday (September 8, 2019) while standing in line somebody mentioned to that cashier about how they were excited that a Panda Express was being built next door. That cashier that I always see (Older. Blonde lady. Telling people "God bless!") went on a rant about how awful it was. She pointed to a lady that was behind me and was screaming that it was her fault that we had that kind of food here, and what not. The lady behind me was Chinese. As she was ranting I looked over at her and her eyes began to water. A dark gentleman stepped up and told her that it was enough and that she needed to in the rant. The Chinese lady was outside crying in the end. I am disgusted with this store now! We are thankful that that gentleman stood up for that woman. I wish I could've done more. I should have done more! I just stood there in shock! The friend I was with and I have decided that we will call later and talk about how they had hurt someone in an awful way.

I will never understand why people work in customer service giving poor service like this. It's unacceptable but very much the norm here. On top of that, the price is now $1.25 per item.
