Well the shelves were half abandoned. So I looked up Food Lions and found out they sold out to a foreign country. It was packed with only one checkout working, there was another with no light where a cashier begrudgingly rang up my groceries while on her cell phone. Worst was that I went to the water fountain and there was an army of ants crawling all over the drain . I looked for a manager but nobody was around. Was disappointing to say the least.

They need to gut the thing and start over -- the outside needs a good cleaning as well. The employees are always friendly but shelves have plenty of bare spots and lines for check out are long. I'm sure it is not easy to find staff to work, so I certainly sympathize here. Overall, I only "run" to Food Lion if I need a couple things quickly. Otherwise, I drive a couple extra miles to stores with better selections, that are cleaner, and well staffed.

This was one of the most cleanest Publix I've ever went to and loved just walking all through the aisles just observing the store. The shelves were clean no dust at all. They even asked if you needed any help finding things I guess because I looked lost because I was mesmerized. I wish I could move to Charleston because of the hospitality was so moving.
